posted a message on [1.4.7]Extremely Awsome Seed with tons of different large biomes
Wow... this is the ultimate extreme hills seed. Giant mountains everywhere and spawn is next to a desert which is nice. Anyway thank you.

BTW I USED IT WITH 'LARGE BIOMES' WORLD TYPE... and the mountains seem endless :)

posted a message on Biome Select Option In World Type
Have you ever been stuck in world creation, creating and deleting worlds because you just can't get the right spot or biome? I've been there so many times and I think it needs to be fixed already.

BIOME SELECT OPTION IN WORLD TYPES
(Inspired by Kurtss' "More World Types" Mod [1.2.5] R.I.P.)

In the world creation menu listed on world types there should be types exclusive to a single biome and that's all the world will load. It would help people who have a favorite biome or just prefer to start in a certain biome.

This list should include all of the following:

Basically every main biome currently in the game (taken directly off the wiki) and possibly some goof around extras like stone mountains, lava lakes, floating islands, or even just huge caves with no surface.

    F.A.Q.

Q: What if it makes the game easy?
A: Minecraft is a sandbox game, meaning the player has the freedom to decide their circumstances and can create their own challenges. This addition of more world types would only give the player more options to satisfy their personal preference. If anything, some biomes would make the game more difficult like Desert biomes and Ocean biomes where resources are more scarce.

Q: Some resources are exclusive to certain biomes, most importantly wood, how would the player obtain them with only one biome while still being immersed in the survival aspect?
A: Although single biome world types would appeal more to Creative Mode players, my only fix for this kind of problem would be to have an option to create a world with multiple biomes but still be able to select which ones it would include. Besides that, maybe implement oases (oasis plural) in Desert biomes and small islands in Ocean biomes. These little bastions would include a couple of trees or a chest of supplies from abandoned houses or dead survivors.

Q: What if this just added a bunch of bugs to the game?
A: This suggestion only applies to the world generation, it would just override the other biomes generation for a single biome, if a certain biome would bug out and not be playable you can just go back to the default world type that has all the biomes, it wouldn't effect the original world types alreadly in the game (default, superflat, and large biomes) at all.

Q: How is this suggestion different from Badprenup's suggestion "World Gen Sliders?" (thread linked below in "Links" section)
A: Badprenup's suggestion does include an option for single biomes, as well as 'on and off' biome options for worlds with more than one biome, but focuses more on sliders and specific modifications. I'm only suggesting one part of that, and that is world type presets that already conform to the button layout currently set up in world creation. I'm essentially just asking for "More World Types" as oppose to advanced world generating options. For a better idea of what I'm describing, watch the video in the "Videos" section where I link a review of a mod that does exactly what I'm suggesting should be put into the vanilla game.
