I'm not sure if this was mentioned before.... But something seems to have gone pretty terribly wrong... http://i.imgur.com/4zGx1Pt.jpg
As you can see I get these long lines of rifts all bunched together that spawn endermen like mad. I keep trying to remove it but it always spreads again when I turn my back. Even while in creative I can't keep control of them.
I realize that rifts are intended to spread, but this seems insane. Is this a bug? And is there anyway to clear all rifts in my world? I don't have anything stored in any rifts at the moment so that seems like the easiest option. It wouldn't be a problem but I'm worried about lag from all the ender pearls and endermen frolicking about.
I can help you out. Although why in the world would you want it back?
All you have to do to get it back is download a new minecraft.jar
(I'd recomend saving a back-up of your current minecraft.jar if you have any mods)
Now I assume that you know how to get to the minecraft.jar considering you've deleted a file in it already.
So just go to and delete the current mincraft.jar and start up minecraft.
Minecraft will freak out and try to fix itself and will download a new minecraft.jar for you.
Then go to the freshly downloaded .jar, open it with winrar, and the the long sought after META-INF rests there!
Just remember that all mods that have ever existed CANNOT work with that file in the .jar.
tldr
delete mc.jar, start minecraft, open mc.jar, gander at META-INF
Apparently my village has lost all it's fighters. But I don't think it ever had any to begin with. It's a controlled Japanese village, and the only buildings that they have made are the ones that instantly spawned when I selected the village (lumberman's house, wheat farmer's house, a peasant's house, the tree farm, and the player's palace).
One of the villagers told me "How can you think of trading when our village is devastated?" a few moments after the village spawned. Plus the world I'm playing on has never experienced a bandit raid.
On a different world I spawned next to a bandit tower so I instantly went and killed them. I know the game remembers information about my relationship and language fluency between worlds, so maybe it flipped out for the bandits?
It could be depending on your keyboard. Mine for example has an "F Lock" button. But I didn't know till recently cuz it's the first time I've EVER seen a button which locks the function keys. Anyways; check your keyboard settings. I know that some keyboard drivers give you a bunch of settings you can configure and stuff. Also check your Minecraft settings.
Other then that I have no clue what could be wrong.
Oh wow. How long has that button been there. lol Thanks for the help! I don't think I would have looked in the top right corner for the solution. xD
I am really greatful :biggrin.gif: Cause its been incredibly annoying not being able to F5 or F3.
(Yes I have used search, all the other topics about functions keys either have little or no information for me)
Was there some sort of unknown update that destroyed the use of function keys for Minecraft? My F keys work outside of Minecraft, so it has to be Minecraft.
I have no idea what the problem is. Does anyone know?
This isn't really necessary. There is a minecraft wiki page specifically for the block IDs. (The one phflack posted)
But I guess it's good to have one on the forums.
I actually hope Notch doesn't add any new content with 1.6. Every recent update has caused lots of bugs, he should work on fixing them before the whole game becomes unstable.
The updates what look like 1.5 or 1.6 are large updates. When an update looks like 1.5_01, it is usually a bug or fix.
I agree with fixing the bugs before the large updates though.
Hello possible ZetaCraft Builders!!
I'd just like to make it aware to you that we have updated and started new! Its a fairly clean slate now. So if your looking for plenty of space to build then get over here!
A friend of mine got someone to give him their .bin of 1.4
If you ask me Minecraft needs a link for people who bought minecraft where you can download older versions.
By the slight chance that you actually read this: Hello!
I would like to say that this is a great server and that anyone seeking a server to have fun and build should join us here. :biggrin.gif:

Ah. Okay. I'm using an older version so that the mods I have play nice. I'll just use that command until I can update. Thanks for helping me out!
