I completed my playthrough. I will try to get video up starting on December 26th or 27th.
3.5 hours total
I think I'm going to chop it up into one video per 'day of Christmas', regardless of length. Not 100% sure.
There were 3(?) entries that I exited before getting the present. Since there's no way to get the lever without the present, I spawned it, thinking that if I didn't, I would screw something up later - I wasn't sure it was just scoring. Still, only 4 or 5 spawned under my tree.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I really love the overarching story and the way that you announced each entry upon ... entering.
My favorite entry, although also the saddest, was the one where you start off as a policeman. (I won't spoil the rest).
I did find a few bugs, you'll see in the video.
But I do believe there were 2 teleport command blocks that were missing the "/" in front of "/tp". The credits for sure.
I am rating this map an 20 out of 20.
Creativity - 4. Entries were brilliant.
Detail - 4. The room with the Christmas Tree could use a few more pieces of furniture, and maybe more inert ornaments on the tree - and a star. But the use of space and detail in the entries was spectacular.
Experience - 4. No question.
Challenge - 4. I would rate the third stage of the final entry a 1 (too hard), but other than that it was a great mix of parkour (yes! actual parkour!), fighting, and puzzles. Regarding that last entry - I would decreased it to 4(?) witches and make the redstone shut off after the dispenser is empty to cut down on lag. Possibly turn keepInventory true. Also, it was pretty unclear how to exit the room. Also, I could not find the crafting table in the (otherwise awesome) entry with the street you fall through. And, in Black_Drath's cool entry, I was dead when the timer went off so I missed the teleport, so you may want to add some sort of secondary teleport mechanism. That's all I can remember off the top of my head in terms of bugs or recommendations. Oh, and... I couldn't figure out jGazMom's secret.
Progression - 4. I really liked the way that you move from entry to entry around the tree. Really great idea (a few teleports need to be adjusted by .5 I think). And the progression in some of the entries was amazing. I am continually impressed with what people can fit into a relatively small space.
THANK YOU so much for pulling this together, FoamyTrampoline and team!!
