Hello Everyone, since my last update, I have made quite a lot of progress
Jobs done/started: built a gold farm, Built a creeper farm, expanded the land slightly, Started demolition of a mountain, Started work on a temp house.
Built a super-smelter
It took 16 stack of tnt but I have started to demolish the mountain, To expand my pumpkin/melon farm, I'm not sure if i'm gonna keep the larger mountain, I might do something with it, Like build a house inside the mountain, I haven't quite decided.
The creeper farm, I built it next to the base, I then moved it to a luke warm, Ocean biome because i had issues with the creepers spawning inside the farm, A lot of them was spawning up in the mountains, And below the farm, Even the areas lit up, Turns out mobs will spawn 128 blocks away from the player, Which is why large oceans, Are the perfect place to built a creeper farm, I uploaded the world to a 1.20.6 server and used worldedit to copy and paste the build. The rates are good, I managed to fill up 2 double chests, From a 8 hour afk session. I might layer this farm at some point, To improve the drop rates.
I built a gold farm today, The drop rates are really good. It also doubles as an xp farm, I will be adding more layers in the coming days, To improve drops.
The auto smelter, Also works really well, I've managed to smelt a ton of charcoal, The double chests are also on the other side for loading.
And finally I started working on a temp house, It's just somewhere to live temp. Until I build my main base area. I might build it in the large mountain.
The world is slowly coming together, I will be building some new farms and structures. Over the next few days!
After moving to the ocean, And afking again overnight, I managed to get an entire double chest of GP. So the rates have efficiently improved by a lot, Looks like this was the issue....
Update: I just copied the entire build and pasted it, In a luke warm ocean biome near my base And the spawn rate has doubled in the last 10m So i will keep my build there. I also have to afk roughly 120-128 blocks above the spawner/farm too
Hello everyone, I have recently built a creeper farm in my base, The rates are fairly poor, After a 8 hour afk session, I only got little over quarter of a double chest of gunpowder. I was expecting way more, As the farm was advertised as 1900+/hr
I followed this guide
Mobs seem to spawn, but every 15m or so, I'll get anywhere between 1-4 creepers, I noticed that a lot of them was spawning outside, On mountains and in the mineshaft below, SO i lit up the areas but the spawn rates are still not very good :/ The only difference is I didn't build my farm ontop of deep ocean biome, I might worldedit the spawner. To see if that also fixes it, As i read creepers/mobs can spawn up to 128 blocks away from the player! Also some of the creepers, spawn in the farm. When i'm a certain number of blocks away?
farm:
This is my single player survival world.
If anyone else has had this issue? Could you please shed some light on how you managed to fix this?
Couple Chickens, Some pigs & cows, few sheep. A sugarcane farm, Wheat, Carrot and potato.
Cave spider Spawner, When i first spawned in the world I dug down a staircase, And happen to mine straight into a mineshaft
The rates for the spider spawner is not the best, But i will improve it in the future.
This is my iron farm, I built it earlier today, It rates are very good, I managed to get a quarter of a double chest, Just from an hour afking. Not too bad.
I will post more updates of this world, Almost daily!
