    Hi guys. I really need help in this issue. My dinosaurs just won't respond to order or whip after closing and re-opening Minecraft. According to DinoPedia, I am still the owner but I don't know why they still will not respond to order or whip after sometime. The notification bar at the bottom will not appear when I right click to order using their respective "order" sticks. This always happens when I close Minecraft and reopen again. How can I solve this?

    Last night I contacted Flammarilva and this is what he had to say to me. He's a really nice guy. The Flammarilva that Kashmoney talked to in email were apparently fake as well.



    @Brick661: I'm not entirely sure what will be in the next update. At this point I'd love to add in a flaming Psittacosaurus.

    Not a snowball's chance in the savanna I'm removing my posts. I'm sticking by what I say. This didn't just happen out of nowhere, this issue has been a problem for months. This isn't the first time Kash has posted something like that here, and when things started to go south decide to just pull it all and pretend like nothing happened. Out of sight out of mind? To be frank, this mod stopped being fun for me to work on. It hurts to have to tell my team to just let it go, to roll off vicious attacks from a troll account, to not argue. For better or for worse I want people to know what we are feeling right now and keeping it bottled up for as long as we have isn't healthy.

    I'm tired of this. This is what I was the post Kash posted on this thread that I'm replying to.


    It's a bit early to get into this right now, but I thought I should post a reply since it's 12AM and I work all day tomorrow and apparently Kash's actions need to be addressed. This might look like it came out of nowhere, but to me this has felt like it's dragged on for a long time.

    I first heard of Fossils and Archeology through a friend who thought it would be cool to add it to a private server I was running at the time. This was back in 1.4.7. The mod looked cool, but it wasn't updated to 1.4 yet. Days later when Flammarilva announced they weren't developing it any more and took what they worked on and open sourced it. I didn't know anything about java, but I wanted to try out this mod so I downloaded the source, fixed a number of bugs, and built it for my server so my friends and I could enjoy it.It wasn't perfect, and I still had a ton of issues so I went back to the original thread looking for a bug free build. Instead of finding one, I found instead a community of players, not unlike myself, looking for a stable release. I uploaded what I had. I figured, someone more experienced would upload a stable build but in the mean time it's better than nothing.

    Yet somehow, here we are, started at 1.4.7, now at 1.7.10 with countless hours dedicated to the Revival branch, it's incredibly disheartening to see an email thread from Flammarilva like that. And, I'll be honest here, I'm not as upset about the message. We've replaced a lot if not all of the original code. There's not a snowballs chance in a warm biome that I would throw away two years of effort like that. The reason I'd ever stop developing this mod permanently is you, Kash. We know quite well you'd rather watch the Revival project burn to the ground. We've tried our hardest to ignore the insults, the put downs, the dismissiveness of your posts, the KrisKringle smurf account. Again, I don't know why you have such this big chip on your shoulder, but I certainly did not start this mod for this sort of drama, and I certainly did not come back for it.

    What I don't understand is when you post private matter on a public thread, before you even contact directly those that are affected by this. What kind of reaction are you trying to get out of us? And I quote Kash:

    "You like everyone on the list were picked because you're a regular participant on one or more of the three dino threads and you're pretty mature about things. A regular such as you understands how people will react and maybe how the devs will react. You and everyone else needs to come to a decision as to whether or not make the revival devs respect Flam's wishes or ignore them and continue developing the mod using all his assets."

    This is not your decision to make. It's not the other dozen or whatever number of people in that private conversation's decision to make. It is mindblowing that you believe the devs themselves get no say over 2 years of work. You included Raptor, Bluestreak, and myself in that private conversation 10 minutes before you posted this in the mod thread. You didn't even acknowledge us, and you didn't even include Tyranno. And now here you are stirring up the pot when it should've been dealt with privately. That means between, you, Flammarilva, Tyranno and myself. Heck, this sounds like a matter between Flammarilva and us; and he is more than welcome to contact me directly about it.

    There's a lot more I'd love to say about this kerfuffle but honestly, I'm at a loss at how to express how I feel right now.

    Hi Turkeydoodles, if you're updating from Minecraft 1.6.4 to 1.7, you have to run the 6.4.1 version of the F/A mod first, otherwise you will be missing all items in the world. As far as entities disappearing in an update this does not happen in a typical upgrade path.

    What Drybones says. It takes a lot of time and energy to maintain multiple branches of the mod, especially for something between 1.6 and 1.7, where the two are significantly different. I've announced the decision that I was done with updates for 1.6.4 many times. It was my decision to move on to 1.7 just as it was other mod creators decisions not to update to 1.7. Also the fact that 1.7 does away with the headache of manually having to deal with item/block IDs makes me not miss 1.6.4 in the slightest.


    @Utahrapter: Try using the "recommended" builds for CCC/NEI, those have worked fine for me.
