    Since the I-Rex is a completely fictional creation of JW, we won't be adding it in. :)

    So we came across a pretty serious bug, where if you log out while in Anu's dimension you'll crash logging back in. We are going to work on deploying a fix for it this week as well. Until then, your options are to NBT edit your player file to dimension:0, or delete your player file and regenerate it. Also, do not log out while in Anu's dimension. Sorry for the inconvenience!

    Currently you can just right click the ground with a bio-fossil and it'll place a skeleton model.

    What's the exact Forge version you are using? If you're not using Forge 10.13.2.1291, try using that version.

    What Forge version are you using? What version of Fossils and Archeology?


    I've seen some minor issues in previous builds because the Forge version I had installed was higher than the one the mod was built on, but nothing like missing textures.

    It doesn't say what recipes that's the problem. And if they're disabled, how much disabled does it make this mod?


    This issue was brought up on Github, and I'm fairly sure I know what the cause is and it'll be fixed in the next update.

    Hi everyone, I mentioned this the other day but I've set up a short Google form to collect some feedback from F/A users. We're mostly interested in the questions regarding using F/A with other mods so there's room for some short answer responses there. :) I'm looking forward to getting as many responses as I can, so if you know people who use this mod but don't check the twitter or this forum thread, please ask them nicely to fill out this survey too! We want to make this mod more enjoyable for everyone that uses and appreciates it.

    On to other questions, the next update is coming soon. I don't have a release date for you guys, but I will say the update is closer to finished than not. It's another pretty big update, with a few new additions, a lot of visual improvements, and some bug fixes.


    On the topic of "when are we updating to 1.8", we do have plans to update to 1.8, but right now it looks like 1.7.10 is still pretty popular (there is also a question in the survey regarding what version you play on, go answer it!). Since we are a small team with limited time and resources, chances are once we update to a stable version of the mod in 1.8 there will be no further updates to 1.7. So this is not a decision we can take lightly when updating major Minecraft versions.

    Ya I had to vote for the pteranodon cause it was a huge milestone for the devs, one of the best additions to date :)


    The updates will only get better from here! Since Alex started helping the new features are getting more and more ambitious, compared to the tiny updates I was able to come up with. :)

    Among the mods that wont move on I hope buildcraft isn't one of them, as quarries make a lot of the fossils and archeology mod easier to do. I do however know Tinker's Construct is in 1.8 which is great since the F/A mod has such a huge dependency on iron to make both the tools to mine fossils and the materials for many of the item blocks used to clone/feed the prehistoric mobs. Plus Tinkers can help with any other mod one includes in a pack to get the right tools for a certain task.


    Speaking of, in the next day or two I'm going to set something up so we can start collecting feedback regarding mod compatibility and such. Stay tuned for more info on it.
