Jun 28, 201323232323 posted a message on Another Post About Changing Villages, but Not the SameI support the general idea, although I'm against villages leveling. I like the idea of village variety; I'd like to see pictures of the villages before I judge their design, though; I assume plains will just remain like they are now? Also, what about deserts?Posted in: Suggestions

Thanks! I can't wait! Do you have any more questions on it? If you run into any sort of spot if your unsure what is meant in the map, then just do whatever you think is best.
What sort of RP is it you're planning? This mightn't sound important but it'll give me some idea of how to tailor the land. Also, are there going to be any large structures anywhere?

so you're trying to make a ripoff version of avatar the last air-bender?
Umm... what? The classical elements existed several thousand years before that show (or any other show, for that matter).
Anyway, while this isn't a terrible idea, it still isn't great. The bosses aren't very interesting, and would tie Minecraft to particular mythologies. As well as this, the dimensions themselves are all quite boring, and are just rip-offs of other ones. That said, I do like the idea of 'legendary' items, although they shouldn't have infinite durability.

wand of gamleon (cd-i)
faces of evil (cd-i)
zelda's adventure (cd-i)
action 52 (nes)
plumers don't wear ties (cd-i)
golden axe: beast rider (xbox 360)
banjo-kazooie: nuts 'n' bolts (xbox 360)
any sonic the hedgehog game made after sonic adventure battle 2
super mario 64 ds (soley for the run button and playing as other things)
terraria (shameless moneygrab clone of minecraft)
habbo hotel (i don't think you can class this as a game)
club penguin (i see the ty cards for this game all the time in stores)
lord of the rings online (the prices for the microtransactions are stupidly high and the combats broken)
runescape (no, just no this is the worst one on the list)
any game on funorb (most of them are really bad knock offs)
First of all I just want to point out that this thread is about dumb comments, not bad games. Aside from that, I also want to point out that this list is itself quite stupid.
1. - 7. All terrible, I agree (although you have to give Action 52 credit if only for its ambition).
8. Alright, really? I know it has its issues and the originals were better, but on its own merits it's an okay game. It probably would've benefited being its own IP, but that still doesn't make it bad.
9. That's going a bit far, I know Shadow, 06 and Unleashed were bad, but I thought Heroes and Colours were alright.
10. And there's the problem, you admit you only dislike it because of a minor feature. I fail to see how that could significantly affect such a great game.
11. Despite the fact that it costs about a third as much and the mechanics are substantially different. That said, I could never get into Terraria, but I still don't regard it as a bad game, just not my thing.
12. Isn't this just a social networking site that uses the mechanics of a game? I mean you pretty much said it yourself.
13. Alright, it's awful, but not because you can buy it in stores. You can buy lots of great games in stores, you've probably bought quite a few good games from stores.
14. Never heard of this so I can't judge.
15. Reasoning? It's not great, but for a free game it seemed to be quite well made and have quite a bit of content; 'no, just no' doesn't really prove anything, and it's worse that E.T.? Really?
16. Same as 14.Quote from Homem Pigman
"Gameplay is the thing that matters the most in The Elder Scrolls"
"Minecraft is all about combat, building is minor"
"Half Life sucks because it's old"
"Halo was more influential than Half Life"
"If you don't like Zelda, off"
"If you don't like Skyrim, off"
I feel ashamed because I used to say a few of these when I was younger.

I can say I am severely turned off from buying an Xbox One now, simply because I am in no condition to mantain such connection. Which is a shame, since I really like Halo.
Same here; I was going to get it just for Halo (and possibly Gears of War), but with all Microsoft's new practices not even that can convince me to buy one.

Well, there goes the whole survival aspect of it. Let's be honest, that's half of the game. The other half is creative, and I personally find that boring after a while.
And how exactly, do horses ruin the survival aspect?

"I'm sick and tired of Europeans calling America the dumbest country in the world. You know what? I think Europe is the dumbest country in the world!!" -YouTube comments
I still have a snapshot of it if you want.
Everyone involved here is wrong; the dumbest country would likely be a third-world country due to their general lack of education and the amount of political and religious (particularly religious) dogma.
As for the dumbest thing I've heard; nothing can top the video El_Kurto_15 posted.
Edit: I can't believe I missed the highlighted sentence! Yeah, that's pretty dumb.

I assumed that the villagers were humans. Either humans viewed through a Minecraft lens, or if we want to get realistic, maybe a variant hominid species.
I always thought of Minecraft as being set in a post-apocalyptic future and villagers are an evolution of humans.
As my last statement implies, no I don't want villagers to become generic humans when we have these far more interesting creatures. I've spent the time since they were added coming up with some quite in-depth lore for their origins, biology and culture and I'd rather not see that go to waste.

will minecraft still be here in 2017 or 2019 ?? 2020 ?? also when will it be australia getting minecon.
next year (2013) cool stuff is coming to australia. even old stuff we already have but you should get minecon in australia when our new prime minister comes not the one we have now SHEESH she lies
It'll keep happening as long as people keep paying for it. I'm sure it'll come to Australia in the next couple of years, they have to visit every continent for it to be fair.
