It's a blast to play, but the world-gen is crazy long. I made it as far as a snowy location, then creepers literally wrecked that dungeon level, I couldn't progress any further.
I saw Etho doing this on his channel and downloaded to play with my buddies tonight at our gaming club. They ought to have fun watching me fail repeatedly. LOL Guess I'll be improving my combat skills quickly, or die.
According to the wiki, you can use fortune for just about anything you punch with your hand to get items from. http://www.minecraft...i/Fortune#Tools So about the most use your tools can be is to help you get better stuff from your farms, I guess.
Personally, I think the Fortune enchantment for axes should improve sapling/apple drops as well (see minimal jungle tree sapling drops for example). And the enchantment for shovels should increase your snowballs count. And... hmm, yeah the shovels enchanted with fortune stink.
I was hoping you had managed to get to the enchanted books and Firework stars from 1.4.6; But you got a heck of a lot else done too, so I really don't have much to complain about, aie? Keep up the good work. This is still my most used pack nowadays. Thanks again for putting so much effort into making it look nice.
You have done what I previously thought not possible...
You have gotten me to remove 3 of my previously bookmarked texture packs.
Your pack keeps the default look I love from 'Faithful', and expertly combined it with the more textured look I like from 'Defined'. And since I found such an excellent combination, I no longer need 'LB Photo Realism'. That means I deleted five total textures, to install two of yours (x32 and x64). Thank you so much for making this texture pack. I eagerly await that last 10% to see what the full set looks like.
I am SO glad you added the day/night, weather, and creative toggles. They make the mod ideal. I can hardly wait til the one for you to catch up with the snapshot versions so I can even use the mob eggs. Once you have that, I won't have any need for any other mods except MCpatcher. Good job with this mod. Thank you so very much.
Update. My newest maximum is 29. I kept finding them on a multiplayer server once. The story I invented to go with it is that I have 1 pet dog. And she happens to have 28 clones in the next county over. :wink.gif:
Why do people insist on bothering you guys about updates. It's just like with the game. It'll happen when it happens, period. Bugging the coders about it actually SLOWS the process, by distracting them from their work, and generally annoying them.
I liked the original SMP Realistic a LOT. But I never used it back when you had to patch the game to change textures. By the time you could change packs, I had forgotten all about it. I'm SO glad you're reviving it; Thank you very much.
My computer can only barely handle the x256, and I ended up just using the x128 anyways. I look forward to having a computer that could handle that high of a reso.
I was on your main site today, and it said the site had expired. I REALLY hope it's just because you're doing an update. But if not, I'm sorry for whatever hardships you may be coming across; and I hope they improve sometime soon.
The second style looks somehow more defined. I like the looks of it a whole lot better; that's for sure. I really like your work, and it's pretty cool to see your style evolve as time goes on.
