posted a message on [1.4.6] NEW VANILLA SERVER - The Mindcraft Done Right Server - [MATURE] [PRANK-WARS] [WHITELIST] [24/7] [DEDICATED]
1.) Do you know what Mindcrack/hermitcraft is? Yes I do, I'm subscribed to Etho and Bdouble0 and I believe maybe one or two more. I like the idea they have implemented for their server.
2.) Have you ever played a server like it? Um, whitelisted yes, prank wars and such no.
3.) What is your Skype username? *Question about that actually below
4.) How old are you? 18
5.) Do you plan on recording videos on the Server? (Yes or no is fine, no big deal.) No, at least not anywhere in the near future.
6.) What are your plans on the server or ideas you have? Server plans: Assist the community in anyway and just be a unique individual in the community. Try and make cool builds, mechanisms, etc for the community. Ideas: Hmm I would like to try and make a unique base for myself and try to make other builds that anyone can view or use whether those be farms, mob traps, etc.
7.) IGN so I can whitelist you: 1kid1sportballin
8.) Ever been banned on any servers? No
9.)Why would you be a good addition to this server? I'm a unique individual (though everyone is) and I would be able to benefit the server when needed, especially in the resource aspect of MC.
10.)Do you have any goals if you are chosen? Make a cool base for myself and make a great build for the entire community.
11.)Do you have any other questions or concerns? Concerning the Skype is it mandatory that we have/use it? I have Skype, but I'd be much more comfortable being contacted on this forum or by email. I'm willing to use Skype if necessary though.
    12) What is your building style? I wouldn't say I really have my own "style" so to speak. I guess it could be classified as whatever gets the job done. I try and make unique builds as aesthetically pleasing and/or practical as I can though. I like having things look nice and will keep adjusting something until I'm satisfied with it.
    13) Do you have some pictures? (It's okay if you don't, they are encouraged though) Sadly I do not :/
    14) Do you agree to the rules? Both prank rules and regular. Yes I do
    15) Anything else you want to tell us? I hope you understand the way I feel about Skype! It has nothing to do with you guys as individuals, it's just that this is the internet and I feel like Skype is more of a personal means of contact (personal as in I physically know you, have seen you, have some sort of relationship with you, etc.).

posted a message on What have you done recently?
I've been exploring this huge cave system by my house. I keep constantly finding new places to explore, I love it haha. And the great thing is that a lot of the paths intertwine so I can never truly get "lost"...at least not now ;)

Also MazeCraft I love coming to this thread to read what you've been up too. Your builds are amazing man. Inspires me to do something...but I'm too lazy XD

    Dinnerbone recently posted this.

So, you are your thoughts on this?

I honestly like it, even though I play on normal mode, it could be fun to play with.

Quoted this from another thread in this section focusing on this. Thought it should be mentioned here since it is a Dinnerbone tweet regarding the future...

I like it, it'll add more of a challenge on Hard difficulty. Especially if you use flint and steel/lave a lot

posted a message on Mining/Smelting Experience; Good or Bad?
I think it's good in the sense that it's another way to get experience besides mob farming. I voted neutral though because since they did add another way of gaining experience I feel like they still could've left the max level at 50. I haven't grinded using a mob farm/trap yet though so I wouldn't know exactly how long it really did take.

Wow thank you both very much for the detailed explanation and pictures! This will work just fine, I'll try it out and let you guys know if I have any problems. Thanks again guys! Quick question though, I could also use a glass block instead of a lamp right, because it's a transparent block? Or is there a different reason a lamp works?

Hmm alright, I could always thicken the wall. Which method would be best to use if I hide it within the walls? Still using a button of course.

    I say:
    Pulse extender.

I'm having a little trouble connecting the button to the pulse extender while still being able to keep the circuitry hidden...I can only have the button one block up from the redstone using Pulse Sustainer #4. I couldn't get the previous ones to work.

    Quote from Rick5000

What you can do, is connect the button to an RS-norlatch http://www.minecraft...dstone_Circuits

The door will stay open permanently.
To solve that, have the RS-norlatch output to a line of redstone repeaters (10 repeater ticks is one second) which resets the RS-norlatch

Will I'll be able to hide the circuitry using the design in the picture I posted?

    Quote from Stykker

Uhm well, Repeaters will slow the response time of the button but thats it in this case. Also, repeaters need to be built in series not parallel.

I see what you're saying, placing repeaters in series should have been obvious aha

posted a message on Redstone Powered Door Problem
Hey all, question here. I have two iron doors and a button on each side of the wall. As you can see in the picture below I tried to set up a redstone circuit so that when I press the button to open the door the door would stay open longer making it easier to use. That isn't happening, when I press the button the doors just stay open permanently. I used repeaters because I thought that would allow the "action" of the door to continue longer, but after reading the redstone guide I see repeaters have a totally different purpose aha. How could I change up the circuit to get the effect I'm looking for?

How I set up the redstone circuit, button to the right of the door space.

Button on the other side of the wall.

posted a message on Villages and villages
I read somewhere either on the wiki or here on the forums that the villagers have like a "social behavior" aspect to them or something. They tend to stick around each other and stay close by. There's been plenty of topics about villagers that crowd in one area, so it makes sense. Idk if there's really a "fix" to it as of now.

Found a ravine in the cave system I mention before, have yet to explore it. Spotted some gold though and there is a lot of lava and water. I also spotted the side of a dungeon so I'm excited to explore this ravine. Hopefully no mobs ruin that experience though.

I made a new world, gonna stick with this one for a good while. Found a good little spot in a plains or extreme hills (I think plains) biome to settle for now until I found a better spot. Haven't built my house yet, but have been exploring this nice cave system and have got a good amount of basic resources so far.
