It's a bit of a work in progress.
Anyway, I'm having trouble doing the hair; from what I understand, anime styled hair is hard enough to do, but as if that wasn't enough, the character that I am tackling has black hair, making the layering a challenge.
Here's a reference picture:
If anyone has any advice or ideas, please let me know. Or, if you want to give it a try, feel free to do so.
Thanks for your help!

Glad to hear that the project is still going strong! I'll make sure to bump you guys once in a while, so the thread doesn't die.
Anyway, good luck!

Yeah, I'll be adding you guys over the next 24 hours. I want to have a preliminary meeting over the weekend, as well, in order to discuss a few details, choose a map, and so that we can get to know each other a little bit.
No problem.

Don't feel too bad; I was considering you for a time, but I just didn't feel "it" when I was watching your video. It just didn't seem lively enough.
One of my other concerns was that your time zone would make things kind of…interesting. If you played at 7 P.M., I would be playing at 1 P.M., manofthestars and NightCrowe would be playing at about 9 A.M., and poor mcyuh8 would be playing between 3 and 5 in the morning. That just didn't seem fair to do to the other players.
One of the things that I did like about your videos was that you had an interesting tone of voice, and you were nice and clear when you spoke. Out of all of the submissions, you and Valmaris should consider yourselves as close runners up. I'll let you know if there are any openings, okay?
In the meantime, practice on livening up your videos a little bit. Make them more fun and engaging, and I'm sure that you will have plenty of groups to join in no time.

Lastly, please note that I have taken the time to read through all of your submissions, and have watched each of your videos. On that note, let's begin!
Watching you play was highly entertaining; I definitely want you on my team!
When I said "Audio/Video" sample, I meant that I wanted to hear what your voice sounded like, your mic quality, etc. You're welcome to resubmit, of course.
You did a great job in that series; I am assuming that you were the player whose mic quality was the clearest? If you were, and you don't mind some interesting hours (nothing too grueling, I promise!), then welcome aboard!
Not gonna lie, that was the most unique audio sample I've had so far. As long as you have a decent microphone hooked up to a computer, I think you're good to go!
As with Spaces, I was looking for a video in which you actually spoke; this was so that I could hear what you sounded like and how good your microphone quality was. Feel free to resubmit.
Congratulations to NightCrowe, mcyuh8, and manofthestars! I look forward to playing with all of you soon!

I've seen a lot of amazing Let's Plays! recently, and have been inspired to do my own series. However, there have been a few minor drawbacks -- plus it is really boring to sit in front of a computer for half an hour talking to yourself.
So, I figured that I would turn to the MinecraftForum community to find some Let's Play partners!
First, a few details about myself: my IGN is 1adude, I am almost 17, and I've been playing for about 8 months now (since the 1.7 update). My time zone is EST. I have a fairly deep voice, and as such, I'm having trouble doing a fun, lighthearted series on my own. That's where you come in!
What I can contribute:
1.) Run and manage a YouTube channel
2.) Post and maintain a Forum Topic
3.) Organize playtimes, and maintain contact with all team members
4.) Do basic video editing (iMovie)
5.) Host a basic server; this last one is a maybe, because I have experienced issues with this in the past
6.) Run and manage a website; I have a lot of experience in this matter, and have a Webs.com account
What I am looking for:
1.) Two to three people who can play through a map for a few hours a week, usually in 1 - 2 sittings
2.) At least one person with a lighter voice, so as to balance out my own
3.) I am looking for at least one girl; I think it would be a nice shift from the typically all-male Let's Play! casts
4.) People with Skype, as that will be the primary form of communication during recordings
5.) You must at least be in high school, i.e. about 15 or older. College students are also accepted.
6.) You must be able to keep regular contact (with exceptions in regards to vacation, school, work, etc.) I would like to be able to get a response from you regarding playing schedules and such within 24 - 36 hours, if not sooner.
7.) You must be fluent in English.
8.) At least one person who can record audio and/or video. I run a Mac, so the only free recording software I have is Quicktime. (As far as I know, Quicktime can only record audio or video separately, not simultaneously)
9.) An Audio/Video sample; I want to know what your voice sounds like. If you cannot provide one, than we can work out other arrangements (perhaps Skype)
10.) Whoever applies must be able to have fun. No exceptions.
I also have some Optional Criteria:
1.) Can do more complex editing
2.) Can run a server, in case my Mac decides to wig out
3.) Can design logos for our play-throughs
4.) People with basic comedy skills, i.e. you can make the rest of us laugh.
5.) I mentioned above about my time zone being EST; as such, you might have some odd playing hours if you live on another continent. Living in the United States is not necessary, but I would hate to have any international team members pull later hours, wake up really early, etc., just to film.
6.) Previous experience is not necessary.
Interested? Please post the following if you want to join my team!

Age:
Gender:
Time Zone:

How long have you been playing Minecraft?:
Do you have any Let's Play! experience?:
Can you record?:
Do you fit any of the other Optional Criteria?:
Why do you want to do Let's Plays?:
Why should I choose you to join my Let's Play! team?:
Audio/Video Sample:
If you have any questions, or do not feel comfortable posting any of the above information, feel free to send me a PM at any time. (I will accept PMed Applications)
I am confident that together we can become one of the most popular Let's Play! teams out there. Thanks for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you!

It's not just you; it is not working for me, either.
It had animated clouds? Man, cannot believe that I never noticed!

HOW LONG DID THIS TAKE YOU?!??!?!?!?

Alright, well, at least we'll be able to add them on our own.

Actually, there were originally going to be 190 Pokémon -- that's why Ho-oh appears in the first episode of the original Anime.
Which brings me to an excellent question:
Should Ho-oh be included in this mod, for the above reason?

I believe it is still only for 1.0… (correct me if I'm wrong!)
EDIT: Nevermind, it's been updated.

Sea, if you're reading this, I think that you should have this topic locked until the update occurs. You obviously don't need the stress right now, especially with college and everything else that has been going on in your life. There's more to life than Minecraft and Pokémon, after all, and I think that's a lesson that a lot of people in this thread need to remember.
Mod making is about quality, not quantity, so take your time. Don't let strangers on the internet bully you around and suck the fun out of your project. It's your mod, and it's about time that you stood up for yourself: as a creator, and as a person.
You're doing an amazing job, man, and I can't wait to see the fruit of your labors! Keep up the good work! :biggrin.gif:
