    must have missed those signs... there are a lot of signs in the cells area though.

    but a lot of people are from what i can tell are thinking being jailed is like a warning, which leads to a ban next time.

    well, perhaps make the rules a bit more clear then in the beginning area? a whole lot of people in chat are thinking swords will get them banned.

    dont dispensers require redstone? is there actually any redstone in the prison?

    i have a few suggestions, so... here they are.

    first off, in the tree farms i find that a lot of people like to cut trees and not replant them. at one point i found the tree farm completely empty. no trees, no saplings planted or floating about waiting to be planted. had i not banked some saplings from before, it would have stayed that way. thus i suggest adding sapling store in the tree farm selling fresh saplings for $1.

    also, no one seems able to really understand the difference between server and prison rules, myself included. ive read them, as have many others, but... well, i barely understand them still. from what i can tell, the server rules are the real rules, breaking them can result in being banned. prison rules are more part of the game itself, things you are actually allowed to do when guards arent looking (hence it being part of the game, guards are a bit like mobs then) though i may be wrong. making the rules of each and how they apply a bit more clear would really help.

    and finally... people getting trapped in cells. it happens. a lot. especially to new players who push the button to go in one, then are unable to use the lever, button, pressure plate, or whatever inside. a warning sign at the beginning about this would be good, but making a pressure plate just inside the door that opens it, works for everyone, and is not removable would be better. (of course the rest of the items in the cell would still be off limits to all but the renter)

    ah well... thanks for taking the time to reply. i believe ive found the problem. your mod doesn't get along with optifine. sadly though, i need optifine to run nicer texture packs, and your mod makes for beautiful skies that match texture packs perfectly, but... well, cant have them lagging so badly its unplayable, even if it is beautiful. do you know of a way around this? they share kz.class and l.class.

    im very new to texturing, myself. in fact, i started on my first ever texture pack about an hour ago...

    anyway, i am very familiar with gimp and use it all the time for editing my photography.

    when trying to shade something, i dont recommend using the dodge/burn tool, as you can permanently destroy pixels by making them so dark or so bright that they reach black or white, thus losing their ability to be shaded after.

    what you should do that gives you tons more control is shade on a new layer. ill make it in steps because honestly, i think those are the easiest to understand.

    1. make a new transparent layer on top of what you want to shade.
    2. set this layer's mod to overlay.
    3. get black and white on your color pallete (you can switch between them instantly by pressing x, very helpful here)
    4. get the largest (19px) soft round brush, and set the brush's opacity to around 20%
    5. simply paint black or white onto the new overlay layer to darken or lighten. you can go over it multiple times with the brush, since the opacity was set low.
    6. when you are happy with the rough shading, get the smudge tool, make the original layer (not the shading layer) invisible. no you will only see the shading you painted. smooth it out with the smudge tool.

    there you go, easy non destructive shading.

    its a nice mod, and id love to use it if it weren't for a horrible bug i keep running into, my equipped (as in held) items get glitched and look terrible. observe:



    any idea whats causing this? im sure if everyone was experiencing it it would be posted in this thread before, but ive done some testing and figured it out to be your mod causing it.

    try optifine. it really does help with performance, there are different versions, one of which will probably make a huge difference for you.

    with it installed, you can tweak more settings and see if one is a problem, and chances are just having it will give you a nice fps boost.

    also, get magic launcher http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/939149-launcher-magic-launcher-094-mods-options-news/ and set it so minecraft can have more memory (since its usually limited)

    this is really nice. im gonna wait for the full release before downloading it.

    one thing i should point out though... please change the text color on the main menu. the fallout green is more a creamy mint green than that eyeball splitting bright mspaint green.
