Hello Everyone,
I'm here today to inquire about a specific part of hosting a Minecraft server from your own machine.
I currently have everything setup, running fine and dandy, Ports forwarded, plugins installed, and friends are able to connect using my external IP. My problem is that we want to go to the public with this server, and doing so would be easy, EXCEPT that I really don't feel like broadcasting my IP over the internet is the smartest thing to do. Is there any way that anyone knows of to conceal my IP from the public? Will Dynamic DNS be my solution? Or maybe a VPN? I'm not really sure if either of these will make a difference, or if it's something completely different that hasn't touched the surface of my mind. If it is either of those or something else, could you please explain to me how I could set up the program/service so that it would work correctly?

First of all, question "Ho much time can you moderate on the server" M-S Doesnt seem like an amount of time to me, the question is asking hour wise E.X. 2-3 hours a day. Second of all, what is your "Past experience on other servers"? That doesn't tell us much about your "experience" or yourself at all. Administrators are the top rank on our server, and controll commands like permanantly banning players and having complete access to our grief rollbacking systen, and other powerful server commands like those. They also oversee all the lower ranks!
Your Application needs to be top notch to even be considered for this rank!
-Moderators-
Moderators are the average rank on our server, as they controll things such as temporary banning, permanant mutinc and even kicking all players from the server if need be! Moderators also oversee Chatmods & Helpers! Your application needs to be as detailed as possible to make this rank!
-Chat Moderators-
Chat moderators watch the chat and other players to controll the flow of the chat, and other players on the server. These people controll temporary muting, kicking players from the server, and can even clear the chat if needed! To make the chat mod rank, you need to make sure your application follows the template down to the final word, even though its a smaller rank!
-Helpers-
Helpers are just that, they can't do much command wise, but they are absolutely vital to the staff team. Helpers are basic players, but have access to kicking players, flying commands to assess damage and report to higher ranks, and invisibillity commands to watch suspicious players! To be considered for the helper rank, you need to make sure you fill in the application with as much detail as possible, even though it is a small rank.
-Dev Testers-
Dev testers are essentially normal players, with perks. Dev Testers go out and test the server when needed, to check permissions and test bugs to make our server as smooth and polished as possible!
-Builders-
The name says it all, but don't apply for the rank if you aren't experienced! We need top notch builders to make our server spawns & plazas look beautiful and detailed
-Web Designers-
Web designers take complete controll of the asthetics and features of our websites to make them look awesome and run smoothly! Once again, don't apply if you don't have experience!

Hey MCForums, My name is Ryan and I'm here today to ask your opinion's on weather or not I should do a series of threads on the MCForums that I'm going to name Mini Minecraft Guides. Now, I know your thinking "Ok dude, you want to make stuff that tells people what to do, OK I haven't heard/seen that idea before" and you're kind of right but also a bit wrong. You see, my whole "Vision" for these Mini Minecraft threads, are to create a series of posts (IN their respective categories, EX. Quick Guide to survival would be in the Survival section, Learning how to parkour would be in the Mapping section etc.) Describing how to survive a night, or get a food chain going, maybe even how to parkour, the ideas for the guides are endless! Now, I already said that I am here to ask your opinion of weather or not to do it, but im also here to ask about what to put in these guides and what guides to make, and since I'd like to let others have as much input as I do on the guides, I'm going to post a View Link to the document while it's being typed up and edited so all of you can tell me what to put where or what I should change.

Hello everyone, my name is Ryan and I am here once again on the minecraft forums to talk about HermitCraft ModSauce and such. Jumping straight to the point, I am looking for a few things being A-{A Modsauce pack Creative server; and B-{Some people skilled in building with vanilla and mods, and with knowledge of how mods in the pack work. Now, I know you thinking "A Creative modded server? This dude is crazy, why would he ever need that!" right about now and I'm about to tell you why. I've been working on a project in a singleplayer world that revolves around the idea of a crazy insane base design with pretty much everything you need and/or don't need (Just for kicks) that would be nearly impossible to do in survival, but the project has come to a complete and udder halt due to the fact that my building skills, aren't the best... or the ok.... or the meh.. or really good at all, BUT ANYWAYS, I figured, "Hey, why do this on my own, There are tons of people out there that can help me with a ton of this stuff" and that's why I'm here today. NOW! You say you can make the server an "easy place for staff & players" and "Make sure everyone is hav a fun time in your server" but you never state how you will do these things, what skill you poses or anything else to make me want to recruit you. Administrators are the top rank on our server, and controll commands like permanantly banning players and having complete access to our grief rollbacking systen, and other powerful server commands like those. They also oversee all the lower ranks!
-Moderators-
Moderators are the average rank on our server, as they controll things such as temporary banning, permanant mutinc and even kicking all players from the server if need be! Moderators also oversee Chatmods & Helpers! Your application needs to be as detailed as possible to make this rank!
-Chat Moderators-
Chat moderators watch the chat and other players to controll the flow of the chat, and other players on the server. These people controll temporary muting, kicking players from the server, and can even clear the chat if needed! To make the chat mod rank, you need to make sure your application follows the template down to the final word, even though its a smaller rank!
-Helpers-
Helpers are just that, they can't do much command wise, but they are absolutely vital to the staff team. Helpers are basic players, but have access to kicking players, flying commands to assess damage and report to higher ranks, and invisibillity commands to watch suspicious players! To be considered for the helper rank, you need to make sure you fill in the application with as much detail as possible, even though it is a small rank.
-Dev Testers-
Dev testers are essentially normal players, with perks. Dev Testers go out and test the server when needed, to check permissions and test bugs to make our server as smooth and polished as possible!
-Builders-
The name says it all, but don't apply for the rank if you aren't experienced! We need top notch builders to make our server spawns & plazas look beautiful and detailed
-Web Designers-
