The reason that there is an api for this mod is so other crafting methods can be supported. No there is actually an api for other mods to intergrate with this mod to do thinks like make crusher recipies or any other crafting system as long as the developer of the system uses the Api
subscriptions... well thats my opinion. at least there doesn't have to be two different modding communities... A subscription system would create two separate communities. It is up to you to decide if thats ok.
CreativeMD? could you make a list of mods that use your api? also what happened to adding support in Randomadditions? It was months ago you talked about that last.
I know. I don't like subscriptions either, but I'm trying to figure out how to fairly support a game that's well past its launch. I don't want to just abandon the game after a year because I have to develop something new or go bankrupt. I want to keep listening to feedback from players and keep improving the game. Making that work out economically is difficult though, because I can't depend on first-time sales forever. As always, I'm open to suggestions on this if someone else has any ideas.-

I have a great Idea but you might not like it. Official purchasable content packs. basically purchasable "coremods" that edit the code while also adding new features. or whole different versions of the game.
Minecraft modding is my nights-and-weekends-hobby (and will continue to be), but now I'm doing game dev for my day job too!
I've designed this new game with the interests of Minecraft players, particularly modded Minecraft players, in mind and I think you'll find it interesting.
the subscription thing kinda feels unfair. but that's just my opinion. I guess I'm just an inconsiderate jerk But I'll definitely purchase the game.
mojang is doesn't care about developing MC PC. If they did there'd be snapshots... or they just don't care about the community. Only their microsoft overlords. Its been about a year since a legitimate snapshot (dot remind me of April fools).
Yeah, I'm working on bug fixes and performance optimizations. I'm working reducing the memory usage at the moment. The mod is a bit of a memory hog. I don't have a huge amount of free time for modding right now (gotta pay the bills), so updates will be slow. Hang in there. =P
Prepare for someone to start making a 1:1 Rapture (Bioshock) underwater city.
thats not gonna happen till someone makes nonsolid blocks that dont annoy the f*** out of you while underwater with all those water textures... also shaders will take a while to be ported and made to actually work underwater.

I just dont think its fair to continually pay for updates... It creates an "Exclusive club" and I think it will turn people off. But do as you wish.

I dont like config files tho! its hard to find ids from mods too....
