posted a message on Iron golems 1.26 update.

So while I have a small iron golem farm it had been working just fine until the just after the 1.26 update. I haven't done a rebuild test yet but was wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with golems not spawning since the update.

Hoping to find some minecraft friends on PSN, and potentially a server to regularly play on. Not interested in PvP, seeking older more casual gamers mid 20's - mid 30's. No mic's. Just Kinda want some people to build with.

So this is freaking awesome! I see you have a server with a lot of your builds.
I'm wondering if you'd be interested in a FFVII world build, probably using World painter at first to set up the basically landscape, and then setting it up on a creative mode server with MCedit. I honesty know next to nothing about setting up servers on user functions etc. However i've been using World painter for a lil bit and think i've got a good feel for it, not as much with MCedit though.
I only play on one server right now, and it's pretty fun. But i think i'd like to work on server with an all round common goal.
Let me know via a PM if you would be interested in working on something like that.

This is one of my favorite Mods.

I really like how the crocodiles only spawn in swamps.
Really hoping for something awesome for the new Jungle Biome. Maybe some sort of primate, like a spider monkey, or a gorilla.

it's already the best world generator out there, and it's only getting better every release :smile.gif:

No i totally agree, It's the best thing people have as an option for making a custom map. I'm just really hoping that the 1.2 release will make it so that map generators like that will be able to paint in biomes.

Not sure if anyone has brought this up yet. But from what i'm seeing of some of the lastest snapshots and planned features for the next update, it might be possible for map generators (like this one) to edit biome locations. If painting in a biome layer become's a feature of World Painter, it could easily be the best map generator out there.
I so hope to see that.

It's sad that this hasn't been updated in while, cuz this is some awesome work.
I'd love to play on a FFVII server if one existed, or help build one.

Wow... that really looks very cool. I have been playing with it but mine look NOTHING like that.

    Thank you

It looks pretty much the way i wanted it. Though a bit smaller than I was thinking though. I still need a lot of practice with it to get the landforms i'm aiming for.

posted a message on Seeking help Creating the World of Krynn
    Hello all.

I'm sort of new to Minecraft, and have not really used the forums much yet. So if this is in the wrong place I apologize.

Anyhow I'm interested in creating a scale map of the world of Krynn( or at least the major continent Ansalon) in Minecraft.

This would Obviously be a huge project and would require lots and lots of time to create, even for a number of people to work on.

Most likely i would start with a base map using world painter to create the continent outline and major features. Then use SPC with the world edit commands to hash out the details and various structures.

At this point i'm starting to grasp the way world painter works, and how to get what I want out it. however I have limited experience with WorldEdit commands and functions at this point.

I suppose the most logical thing would be to set up the basic map, then host it as a creative build server(being the only real way to get help with the project).

Ultimately if the project was finished i'd want to create an RP server out of it. maybe with some custom mobs and things of that nature.

Given that the town of Solace alone is 1500 x 1500 ft (and from what i can tell of the minecraft world one block is basically a sq meter), or 500x500 blocks.
So in relation the rest of the continent of Ansalon would be somewhere roughly around 38500- 55000 x 23100 - 33000 blocks.

I suppose i'm getting into the details a bit to soon.

If anyone is interested in helping with this at all please post.

Again love this, and thanks for the help.

I've been wondering if it were posible to set a way to paint block sets in layers?

So this is my first map. I call it Karthax. I don't really have any in game pictures yet since i can't seem to get a screen capture. I've read that just pushing F2 should create a screen capture. but that doesn't really seem to be doing it.

I didn't mean separation, but like off topic discussion based on where people are from. Like if say someone build something based on a local landmark, building, etc... but wanted to share it with someone whom would actually get it because they were also local to that area.

Yeah, that works, but it's not finished yet and isn't very user friendly. You use it to add tiles to the world if you want to make it bigger, by entering the coordinates (in tiles) of the new tile you want to add. The tile at the centre of the world is at 0,0, so the existing tiles of a default 5 by 5 world run from -2,-2 to 2,2.

This should enable you to calculate the coordinates of the tiles you want to add. For instance, say you wanted to add a row of tiles on the right, you would add a tile at 3,-2, one at 3, -1, one at 3,0, one at 3,1 and one at 3,2.

Okay... now i get it, i was trying to enter the block location axis... no wonder that didn't work
    Thank you again.

    Thanks!

Yeah, that's because what is north now in Minecraft used to be west, so it used to be correct. Notch changed it recently (in version 1.9 I think). I will update WorldPainter at some point, but it might be a while because this orientation is pretty heavily embedded in the code so it's a lot of work to change.

The coordinates displayed by WorldPainter in the status bar should be correct though, and correspond to the coordinates in Minecraft.

Yeah I kinda figured it was something of that sort.
I think i'll be practicing doing edits for awhile before i really get what i want style wise anyhow, so by the time i get myself really accustomed to the program you'll probably have released the update with that change :tongue.gif:

Also having a bit of trouble figuring out the add tile function. Any hints on that?

This is fantastic. It's got some really neat functions!
So far i've only noticed one things that seem off to me, not really sure if it's a bug though.
When a map is exported to minecraft it rotates counterclockwise, IE north becomes west. It's easy enough to simply paint the map with east as your planned north, but if this is something that could be fixed that'd be awesome.
    Running on OSX.
