Ehhh. My First Actually good suggestion Tell me what you think about it.
That suggestion has still yet to come.
So I can just heal myself by drinking out of some pond forever? Well then, I guess we can remove health potions. Why wouldn't bottled water be able to do this?
I dry heaved when I found out about the subscription crap. That's an absolutely stupid decision. When you buy a game, you just want to do it once, you don't want that making that next payment to be stamped to your head forever.
I don't think gravel warrants enough importance to have a "compact" version. Though if it was added, I wouldn't complain, as this idea wouldn't break or heavily change anything in a long-run-game-breaking way. So, partial... support?
EDIT: Saw this was a necro a bit too late. Oh well.
Eh, the thread is already necro'd. It's not like you can un-necro it.
I feel like this idea could have some potential, but it'd need a sizable reworking first. Scrap taming, replace it with some sort of necromancy system, and alter the leveling system so that rather than zombies gaining gaining a portion of the EXP you gain on kill, you pour your EXP directly into it to make it stronger.
As negative as I can be, I do ironically... usually... maybe try to find the best in an idea. If zombies weren't hostile to us since day 1, then maybe I could see this working. The only form of neutrality zombies remotely have is when they focus on killing a villager first.
We have all the utility mobs we need, and all of them have enough uniqueness between them. Adding a hostile mob to that list is just... I can't see it fitting no matter what.
I'm being told to "just use" something that doesn't exist. That's my point.
Actually, it does exist. Not officially, but in snapshots as of now. Even then, what's the big deal? It's like you're getting your wish in a different way.
It's a little awkward to say because if Mojang came by right now, saw your idea, and was all "BlueCoin has a good idea that we're going to implement! Gold star for him!" It would still be something that didn't officially exist as of right now. Meaning that your idea would be in the exact same boat as that of slime blocks. I'm getting off track here.
Badprenup was implying that negating fall damage should be "balanced" in a way to need soulsand for it to work, which you need access to diamonds (or to very carefully construct a portal with buckets), meanwhile you can use said buckets to place water which is everywhere for a fall damage-negating block. It's just you can't make a house out of water.
My bad there, I missed Badprenup's post. Yeah, this argument here makes all too much sense. I can't imagine having a floor made of water either, though it wouldn't kill you to have a segment of water in just the areas for the safe falls...
On the bright side, I do support. At the very least, where wool can reduce damage rather than negate it completely.
Redundant and absolutely horrible. That's something I would say if the idea were such, but it isn't. Because the idea is very good, meaning my first sentence was just a comedic misleading thing I said.
My negativity pills might kick in later on like they do for every other suggestion in the world, but I can't see much flaw in this. Does the resistance apply to just the effect of the potion, or both the effect and duration?
Neither is your fall negating wool. What's your point here?
If water already negates fall damage, then I see no reason to require diamonds and obsidian to be able to.. make an ugly fall-proof house. I'd like to build with wool, not a non-existant block and soulsand.
I think I can support all of these. I don't see why a few extra animations would lag up a server... Though that depends, do you guys mean internet lag or FPS lag? It'd be only a few extra arm flails thrown in the game.
All right, so the game of thrones theme/texture pack, what ever you wanna call it and who ever it won't be made by is a bad idea for numerous reasons and I have no idea what i'm talking about
Yeah you pretty much nailed it.
Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but if you want people to take you seriously, make sense and stick to the topic. You won't get supporters by spiraling off into 4 other topics out of nowhere.
I hope this post will be helpful so that roller coaster maps won't be broken.
Hmm, well probably not. I don't think this one thread will somehow change that.
Instead of faster minecarts, you should add a speed rail that makes you go faster like the faster minecarts except it is a rail and previous rollercoasters won't be broken.
So basically, let's remove powered rails and put back the booster rails? Despite the fact that Mojang gave us the powered rail to compensate for the booster rails being removed?

A trip to the search button could have prevented that disrespectful post.

Okay, you're making one of the most common "new guy" mistakes. Something being painfully hard and frustrating is not the same as "more challenging".
Which is fine, but a redundant generic zombie apocalypse isn't needed for that. This gamemode might as well be called "Survival Mode 2".

Again, no idea what your message is here.

Yeah, nice excuse there.

You went from talking about a huge "game of thrones map", then you're talking about making a movie series, then you're talking about texture packs.
Mojang didn't make those texture packs. You might wanna check up on what you're talking about.

no.
