Thanks for the support guys. I'll open up 3DS Max sometime soon and make some rough models of the different poses if I can get time. Anyone want to change the different poses or have ideas for special poses?
I like the idea for poses, but how will the "Hands on Hips" work if the player model doesn't have elbows?
There is a big problem you don't think.
Let doa example:
I made 3 ender chests.2 of them i made a large ender chest. then far away i open a single alone ender chest. How the game would know what side i of the two chest i want?there is a imcompatibility.
you would have to craft 2 large Ender Chests in order to use them. (4 total Ender Chests)
A small Ender Chest would still link to the Small Ender Chest.
The Large Ender Chest would link to another large ender chest.
Ice Serpent
Look like flying snakes made of ice. Move quickly, and attack by spinning in place and lashing with their sharp, icy tails. Would be the Glacius equivalent to Spiders.
Frost Golem
What looks like a massive mound of moving snow is actually a gargantuan Frost Golem. They lie sleeping in the frozen plains, but will awaken and attack when the player comes near, launching sharp icicles from their fists.
Snow Hawk
Passive mobs that prowl the ice plains looking for food. They will attack if provoked, similar to Zombie Pigmen.
read the firearm idea in my signature, it accounts for all of these problems you brought up, it is being updated at the moment, also minecraft is not a simple building game.
But building is still the primary focus.
On another note, you guys might want to try Ace of Spades.
It's basically Minecraft is it had guns.
Granted, they're assault rifles and machine guns, but still.
the gun would just not be an area affect and require more precision aiming, but I actually kind of like the cannon idea if it can be loaded to not destroy, as long as ammunition is cheaper than explosive kind.
You could load it with standard Cannon Balls or TNT.
Cannonballs would do the most player/mob damage.
TNT would do the most structural damage.
Depends on what you want to destroy.
3 gun powder and 1 iron is my recipe for one of the firearms, also the weapon can be made more accurate with enchanments, and firearms are like canons that don't destroy (which is a not fun thing), and mobile (fun thing)
The Cannon wouldn't destroy blocks (Unless you loaded it with TNT, but then you risk the chance of backfire. And death.) It would give a satisfying explosion dealing Area damage comparable to a Creeper. Like a long distance throwing potion with a big explosion.
Then you blow the idea of more powerful weapons completely out of proportion and imply I'm suggesting weapons that serve no purpose.
I'm suggesting Cannons. Which would blast the hell out of everything but you have to mount it to the ground and risk blowing yourself up if you shoot things too close. Then you have to load it with gunpowder and cannon balls before wrecking things. It's not that they're overpowered (At least for me, it's not) It's that I don't think a rifle or pistol would be fun or fit within Minecraft.
An expensive weapon, that takes forever to load/reload, is inaccurate, requires enchanting to properly use it, only to do a few hearts more damage than a bow, doesn't sound very useful or fun.
Even the ammo is ridiculously expensive and impractical. 1 gunpowder and 3 iron for only 3 shots. That's insane. (I think this is from YOUR idea, and not the one here. I might be confused.)
look at the stats of it, those were for balancing, where did it say it's just for fun.

It'd be like something you just put over your mantle next to your mounted Creeper Head for decoration.
