A Spore-like Mob creator would be beyond Awesome.
Assemble your own blocky monsters, decide their behavior, stats, attacks, and drops, then kick the crap out of them in regular Minecraft.
Finally, an end to "MAEK MULTICOLORED CREPPOS" and "LE NEW EPIC MOB IDEA" threads
Something I don't really like about the gun idea is the aesthetics.
I mean, a flintlock rifle would be all skinny and thin looking. Ugh.
Something like a hand cannon or Grenade Launcher would be awesome.
Something with a big fat barrel that looks like it can wreck stuff.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, TNT, Grenades, Launchers, and Cannons would be the 4 tiers of Explosive weapons.
TNT is stationary, 1 use, and powerful
Grenades have range but less power
Launchers have more range, same power as grenades
Cannons have more range, more power, but are stationary (And can be aimed a bit)
Besides the fact that I just know we would get a few threads asking for it to be removed because people can't help but turn them on and use them, I don't see a reason why not.
I mean, I only really make Creative Maps to either screw around with Redstone or build worlds to play in.
I have this one I've been working on since last summer and I can't play it in Survival Mode because it's stuck in Creative.
That's my main motivation for suggesting this.
I'm sure other people would use the function, for similar reasons.
I'm sure some people have been in this same situation.
You make a Creative world, build an elaborate fortress, set up traps and obstacles, establish entire cities.
Then you go to change your game mode and find out that you disabled Cheats.
So, I propose the ability to change the Cheat Options and Game Mode from the World Select menu.
The button for it would go in between "Rename" and "Delete" underneath "Play Selected World"
There you would be able to enable or disable cheats, or change the mode between Survival, Creative, and Hardcore.
It could also display the Seed, for quick reference.

Just put the TNT underneath a block with a Stone Pressure Plate on top of it.
That's the main threat of Desert Temples.

Something I've been wanting to do for a while.

Yes? Or at least immunity to Lava damage.

I'm in it solely for the handlebar mustache.

Well no wonder.
I normally use Stone buttons.

Or you could make a shooting gallery where you're rewarded with sparkly doodads and flashing lights.
Hitting a Button with an Arrow would press the button.
Hitting a Lever with an Arrow would throw the lever, but only if you shot it from the correct side.
Hitting a Pressure Plate with an Arrow would apply pressure to the plate, and hold it down as long as the arrow remained there.

And I can make my own Golems and whatnot.

And they like to Swim in it.

Ah, no harm, no foul, then.
I've always liked the idea of a trampoline type block to bounce around on.
