Actually, it can't be a compressed block of coal, because it burns more efficiently in a furnace. In order to burn more efficiently, a block of coal would need more surface area. A compressed block of coal would be incredibly inefficient as a fuel. Coal needs to react with oxygen in order to burn, and oxygen wouldn't be able to penetrate a solid, compressed block of coal.
Actually it would. A big block has less surface area so it burns longer than a small rock.
Why sponges? Farmers trade wheat, blacksmiths trade tools, librarians trade books. It makes sense. But there's no water in the End, so why should they have sponges? Just so we have a way to get them? I like the idea of something in the End, but the sponges just seem out of place.
What if they used the sponges to get rid of all the water in The End, because the Endermen are allergic to it?
Now that all the water is gone, they don't need their sponges anymore.
I don't like the idea of changing the villages - nor do I think this jail stuff is programmable. BUT, I do like the idea of bandits riding horses, which would spawn rarely in deserts and attack you.
Of course its programmable.
It would just suck.
How would you be thrown in jail?
Would you just teleport there, or be dragged in by the Iron Golem?
I also said it would most likely be invisible, a concept designed to keep things balanced.
That doesn't help the suggestion at all.
You'll never know where your stamina is if you have to move a lot.
Say you're being chased by mobs.
You sprint away, do some jumping, but then come to a high ledge.
You can't Charge Jump up because you didn't know how much stamina you were expending because you can't see the bar, and you don't have enough left to charge a high enough jump.
Then you die.
If the Stamina Bar is the only thing you have to balance this, then still no Support.
With it, you can meet that situation I describe above (Along with many others that lead to your inconvenient death because you have no idea if you can use a life saving move or not)
Without it, you get people spamming moves constantly and dual wielding swords forever, which is apparently a bad thing.
Where the heck are you getting this information? Coal Blocks are storage blocks. Like Iron, Diamond, and Gold blocks.
What exactly was a joke about them?
And furthermore, not every block needs to have some crazy feature added for some obscure reason.
Coal Blocks are fine the way they are.
We already have the option to place Slabs on the upper half, and lower half of blocks.
Why not just let 2 slabs inhabit a single block, but not the same half?
I agree with the name tag part, it makes PvPing a lot harder.
And makes griefing a lot easier
Now you can never know if someone is in your house because you had sense enough to build a wall to keep the monsters out.
Say goodbye to all your hard earned diamonds and enchanted weapons and everything.
And good luck sneaking up on anyone if you have no idea where they are because you can't see their nameplate.
No Support.

Maybe I've been playing too much Banjo Kazooie.
Okay, did you really just reply to your own thread?

I know MCmmo has a "Chimera Wing" where you use 16 Feathers to teleport home.
It also has a chance of failing and wasting a quarter stack of feathers.
Love it.
Then why do you even come to this board?
Terrible suggestions are like, 99% of the topics ever created.

I don't think they realize that they can still play survival and creative separately even if this was implemented.

Right. "Surround your fireplace with torches/signs so the ceiling will stay up".
There's just so many other ways you can do that, right?

Seems like a lot of trouble to go through to turn on a furnace.
