This is my first texture pack, but I'd been wanting to make one for a long while. Now that I've figured out how, I can't really stop!
It's not turning out how I thought it would, but I think it's pretty nice all the same. There's some places where I obviously need work, but I'm still learning, so it's fine. However, if you see anything funky about it, please, point it out to me! I might not notice, or know how to fix it if I do.
I fixed the cobblestone and the grass, I didn't think it looked all that great originally, so tell me what you think. I also figured out what was wonky with my pictures. Photobucket was automatically resizing them for some reason, but I think I've got that issue fixed.
And, since you've asked for it, I've uploaded what I've finished, so if you want to use it, feel free. Download Link
Wow, very nice clean texture pack! Will be using it as my default as soon as you put a DL link
Oh! Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it. I put up a download link, but it's not nearly finished, so I don't know if you'd like it?
I changed the grass and cobble, so if those were your favorite blocks, I apologize.
Get bigger screenshots. The ones you've got are waaay to tiny. It's really hard to judge the textures by the images you put up. Make sure you play on fullscreen when you take the screenshots ingame.
It took me a little while to figure out why they were so tiny, turns out photobucket was resizing my screenshots for some reason. Sorry about that. Hopefully these are big enough?
So, I finished some more blocks, and re-did the grass and cobble textures. I'm moving steadily, albeit slowly, forward, and I'm really excited with my progress. With more blocks done, things are starting to come together and look cohesive, instead of like I chose some weird pastel colors and threw them on things.
Your ores are a touch blurry. You might want to sharpen them. Also, I think the smooth sandstone needs more contrast, and your dirt has a tiling error. Other than that, I really like this pack

Overall I like my ores, but I agree they're blurry. I was looking at the stone texture a bit ago and I think that might need to be redone as well, so I can redo the ores then.
Do you think the shape of the smooth sandstone is good then? Because it took me ages and I still have no idea what I want it to do, but I'd definitely up the contrast, and maybe that'll be just what it needs?
Will fix the grass, then.
And thank you! <3
I've finished a few more blocks, and thought I should share. I re-did the grass and cobble, because I didn't like them, and I re-did the stone and ores too. The rest are new additions.
New Stone and Ores, displayed next to the new cobble and the stone bricks.
The new grass, along with tall grass, and double tall grass.
Logs and their respective leaves. The black clay is to simulate opaque leaves.
Glowstone, Endstone, and a temporary and ugly looking emerald block, next to unedited quartz.
Temporary Lapis Blocks, Iron, Gold, Diamond. Stone bricks and the circle stone, and stone slabs.
