First, I'd like to apologize for the sound of my voice. Slight speech defect, deal with it. How it works: Uses the unused metadata spots in certain blocks to allow water to flow through. What works: Water flowing through iron bars, fences, nether fences What is buggy: Rendering. Isn't rendering underneath at the moment, nor if you put a block on top. The fence propagation issue I had was probably a rendering bug. Water isn't drawn with the proper brightness, nor does it hide sides of the block that are next to normal water blocks. Also, I started this mod the night before 1.2. Facepalm worthy, to say the least. What is coming: Vertical propagation. Lava(?) What isn't coming: Trapdoors, piston arms, doors, halfblocks. Anything that has metadata already associated with it will not be compatible. Compatibility with Finite Water, though the maker of that mod is free to use my work to make blocks that specifically work with his mod.
Maybe. I can probably handle most of the gameplay related stuff, and getting the water to propagate properly, but if I could find someone with rendering code experience that would be a big help. Also, ModLoader support. Can't find documentation on it anywhere. In any case, waiting until MCP for 1.2 comes out to continue, at which point I'll port it over and fix some stuff.

Blusunrize actually made something like this already-

enjoy
It also supports adding your own blocks to the list, so it's fully mod-compatible.
EDIT: Wait a minute, this is a necro'd thread.
Awesome Minecraft mod! clicky!
