Description:Skies of Minecraftia was a mod idea that I had in mind for a while. I saw no one was doing this mod and... well... I wanted to see if I could try it. This mod is based around the Dreamcast/Gamecube game called Skies of Arcadia, an EPIC RPG! Most of the elements from that game are going to be implemented in this mod!
All of these weapons are available in all of the 6 colors.
Items!!
Crystals (These are basically the healing items. Sacri crystals are the least hardest to craft/find and offers the least amount of healing, and the higher up from the list, the harder it is to craft/find)
Sacri Crystal
Sacres Crystal
Sacrum Crystal
Sacrulen Crystal
Magic Drop: Restores a few MP (Yes I will add MP!)
Magic Dew: Restores a lot of MP
Curia Crystal: Cures all adverse effects, ex. damage decrease (except for death)
Risan Crystal (Most likely not going to be added, but I'll experiment with it): 50% Chance of reviving an ally with half HP
Riselem Crystal (again still considering it): 100% Chance of reviving an ally with full HP
Glyph of Might: Increases attack for a few minutes
Glyph of Speed: Increases speed for a few minutes
Healing Salve: Allowes you, or an ally to regenerate health
Moonstones!
Moonstones will randomly fall out of the sky, and when you pick one up, you will be able to infuse your weapon with one of the six magic's [see magic section]
They will also be found underground. They will be as rare as diamonds.
Here is a pic of the moonstones:
Moonstones will be available in all the 7 colors (the 7th being the raw moonstone as you see above) and are as rare as diamond and will spawn in smaller veins (lower than 8).
Magic!
The magics are based off of the 6 moons of Arcadia.
Green magic: Healing
Red magic: Fire
Purple magic: Ice
Blue magic: Wind/Water
Yellow magic: Lightning
White magic: Life/Death
Magic uses MP. All magic will cost 1 MP to use.
Note: Magic at night will be way more effective than using the magic in the day!
I will possibly be making spells as seen from the game itself!!
"The World Above the Clouds!"
To get to the world above the clouds, you must first craft yourself an airship [see airship section]. Then you must travel at the very tip of the world (which, thanks to the update, is extremely high ;3).
Protip: Bring a crap ton of coal! You'll thank me
Airships!
You will be able to craft airships! Even some of the famous ones from Arcadia!
The airships will be able to be equipped with 5 different cannon types
Note: Airships use up 10 chunks of coal in 30 seconds! (I might experiment with that)
Mobs/Boss mobs and dungeons!!
There will be a crap ton of new mobs from Arcadia! One being that cute little water-drop looking thing with the ring around it that likes to run away <3
The boss mobs will be the six Gigas (basically the guardians of that specific moon). The Gigas guard the moon crystal-- Which are different, more powerful version of the moon stone -- When you try to leave with your treasure, the Gigas will rise from the "ground" and attack you! They are going to be near-to-invincible, but everything has a weakness am I right?
The moon-crystal dungeons will be generated almost exactly the same each world, but their layout will be the same (ex: they will have the same type of puzzle associated with them, but the twists, turns, etc. will be generated randomly).
The small, most common dungeons will feature twisting turns and horrible monsters that guard the dungeon's treasure.
Note: There will be one final ultimate boss which is the master of all the Gigas and is in-fact impossible (but there is a way though I'm not sure if it's in the actual Arcadia game, haven't beatin it yet hehe)
Allies
You will be able to find allies in some of the cities in the "World Above the Clouds." You will be able to recruit them to fight with you for gold coins dropped by mobs, or by a gold ingot (might change) to recruit them instantly. You will be able to use the Sacri crystals to heal them, or the Rislem crystals to revive them.
This is a BIG mod, I know. But I will not give up on it!
If anyone would like to help me out, leave me a message or contact me via Steam: (contact me on here with your steam info because people can't seem to find me :/) or Skype: shadowdrag0n
I will be working on v.01 of this mod! This version will (probably) have the following:
Boomerangs (You will not be able to throw them in this version)
Cutlasses
Moonstones (They will not fall out of the sky in this version. They will also come in the 6 colors.)
Sacri crystal
Moonstone ore (will be rare as diamonds in the normal world, common in the world above the sky once it's made. The moonstone ore will be used to make the weapons listed above.)
Here's a preview of the wooden boomerang that's gonna be in the first version!
Tell me what you think!
Edit: I just finished making all the PNG files for each of the colored boomerangs for each of the four tiers... Man that was tedious... Now just to figure out how to put them in the actual mod...
maybe you could use crafting to switch the moon stone your using? It should be possible that the moon stone itself stays in the crafting grid, like the bucket in the cake recipe.
If you need another coder, I would like to help. I have no experience with mods, but I do know how to code in java and I'm a big fan of skies of arcadia (legends).
Yeah that's what I was thinking. Either that or using the GuiApi thingy to press a button to switch it?
The crafting method is probably the simplest, and doesn't depend on other mods. So I would go for crafting
Yeah I guess you're right. But that means making a crafting recepie for every of that weapon and every combination that there is.
Edit: also it would be more handy for the player if they could change the moonstone color in the heat of battle when they want to make a certain magic spell more powerful.
Uhh, all I'm going to say is that they're going to be like the Skies of Arcadia game. Just imagine this but in an "behind the ship third person perspective" Kinda like how you are when you're driving in the Flan's planes mod.
It's fine xD I'll probably make it so that using coal in airships will be the equivalent of using saplings/sticks in a furnace, and using moonstones in an airship is the equivalent to using a bucket of lava in the furnace ;P
Note: Any names of actual characters, mobs, items, etc. are owned by Sega Corporations and Overworks ©
I do not own anything!! (Except this mod ;P)
Features:
Thanks to zamaj for taking the time to help me with the textures for the items!! Show him some love by going over to his awesome texture-pack thread and supporting him!

And what do you mean by models?
I don't have a gamecube either (and both Skies of Arcadia and the two Evolution games were re-released on Gamecube :/)
how come you posted that here @_@?

I'm sorry, but I can't recruit people who have posts that I can't even read. Plus you're new here... So... Yeah.

Well, I guess I could so I could give the people a view of what I'm trying to accomplish.
I put some links to pics in the main thread for people who don't know the game.
Damnit, I was gonna make that a secret feature xD (for the people who haven't played the game) but yeah.
It's fine xD I'll probably make it so that using coal in airships will be the equivalent of using saplings/sticks in a furnace, and using moonstones in an airship is the equivalent to using a bucket of lava in the furnace ;P
