History:
After some time away on an extended trip, I returned home and finally got to catch up on some of the Minecraft updates. Noticing the fantastic advances in facilitating custom maps was super exciting and the ideas that have been floating around in my head are looking for ways out. The idea that surfaced for this map is pretty much to take a bunch of machines and story lines and find a way to mash them together in a way that flows and includes complex relationships.
University takes away a lot of time, but there are always open nights mixed in there, so expect progress as this moves along, especially when finals are over and the semester is through!
Plans:
Judging by the rate this map is progressing right now and how long my last one took (You can check out Rift Up here!), I would imagine that this map is not due for at least a year from writing this. I'd say, plan for mid 2019. We'll see how this goes, but I'm hoping to delegate some work to other creators in the community to speed it up.
I hope to hear feedback from those who frequent this forum as this project progresses through its cycle!

Update! I finally figured out an important mechanic!
During the course of this map, you'll be travelling between two distinct states, so I needed to have a way to isolate their respective inventories. Killing a tagged player in a specific place and capturing their dropped items seemed like the best way to go about it.

This episode contains another command machine to help achieve a gimmick for another dream. I'm getting close to finishing this chapter and moving on to the next; Intersection 1 is basically finished and I just need to stock the Temple and start on the town for the transition. We'll see how Minecraft 1.13 changes my creations!

I still check back often. I haven't posted recently because this is the point in the semester at University when things ramp up. I'm currently pretty swamped with school, but I hope I can at least post some videos to YouTube soon. I've got another series recorded with my friend that I just need to edit and upload.
Other than that, though, I have been continuing to work on this map. No building, but I've gotten a lot of ideas that I've written down and I think I've decided on the two endings.

Episode 6 is mainly preparing for releasing a demo; filling rooms, fixing machines. I've done a lot of work after recording this, so the next episode with be pretty full with demonstrations. After a little more testing with some friends, expect to see a download link!

It contains the first and second areas, as well as a teaser for the next one; where nothing works, but the shells are there.
Multiplayer works well, as far as my testing went, so feel free to try it with friends, but remember that it's still unfinished. There seems to be a problem with the death counter with the big chapter transition, but I can deal with that in later versions.
Looks really cool! Adventure-based CTM is arguably my favorite genre of map. Can't wait to try this demo.
Nice! Let me know your thoughts when you finish. With the tests I've done, I'm pretty sure the first area needs more food available, but it still feels pretty good to me. Difficult for a beginning, yes, but still good.

I finally got to work on the Town story!
Still trying to get some new machines up and running.

After getting some titles working, I spent a nice chunk of time getting the new island looking good.
I am newly in love with WorldPainter now.
I have always been really into custom advancements, so I bit the bullet and learned how they work, for the most part. I hope it doesn't change in 1.13 much.
I've been really enjoying making videos documenting this; I find it actually helps me get it done, since I'm currently alone in this project.
If you would like to help, stay sharp; I'm about to set up a discord and lay some guidelines for ways to get involved here.

I've started a Map-Making Series!

Oh, my map? F-fine- it's fine. IDK, I have been working on serveral different maps altogether, but i'll say it's fine for the most part.
So, on a seperate subject, what university do you go to? I'm far too young for that, but i'm just wondering!
Also, i'm so sick that I have to force myself to stop puking because I could not breathe. I'm going on day 2 now and I only feel slightly better . . .
