Aight, I've been playing Minecraft Pocket/Bedrock Edition since September of 2013. I used to play on Bedrock1.17.40 but then I deliberately deleted it (I stored my worlds on a back-up file in order to prevent my 1.17 worlds from being corrupted) in order to install Pocket Edition v0.10.4 alpha (Nov 2014) and later updated it to v0.11.1 (Jun 2015) and eventually v0.12.1 (Sep 2015). If you're wondering why I downgraded Minecraft on my phone, I simply want to get that Old Nostalgic Feeling of playing something from you're childhood and to bring back memories as well. I am planning on updating it Weekly until Bedrock 1.10.03 beta, the final version where Old Villagers can spawn along with
So I made a Survival World on v0.10.4 alpha last week and found a Large Plains Village with a ton of Villagers. However most of them had either disappeared/despawned, died in my Diamond/Gold Mine or were eaten by Zombies on the first 12 Minecraft days until there were only 6 of them left in the entire Village. You see before September 2015, The Villager's AI was very basic and cannot be traded, breed or even open doors and are prone to despawning. they also have the same AI as Villagers in Java Beta 1.9 apparently.
By the time I updated the World to v0.12.1, the version that added many new things such as the Nether, the removal of the Nether Reactor, brewing, enchanting, hunger, new mob AI's, weather, Villager Breeding and much more. there were only 3 Villagers left and I had to do something about it.
I wanted them to breed but I didn't know how to breed Old Villagers since the they had an apparently different breeding mechanic than the New Villagers. I need them to breed in order to repopulate the Village. I fenced the house where they live in to prevent them from wandering to the nearby forest since Villagers tend to go away from Villages until it got fixed in 2017.
If any PE Veterans knows how to successfully breed Villagers in Pocket Edition Alpha, I will appreciate the help.
