You need to be quite tech savvy to host a server, you better look into minecraft realms, where you can upload your world to and login from any computer with your Java edition login.
Without a Server setup or a Realm, you have limited and cumbersome options ...
Assuming you play on diff computers, but on the same local area network ... you could copy the world onto a memory stick say, then copy it to the relevant PC, whomever plays plays, then copies the world back to the memory stick and then back to the other PC and then the other person plays etc etc
If you have a shared area on your network which is always on (such as a NAS drive or a USB storage option on your Router), you could have the world saved there, and then either of you could access it, but not at the same time. However i think one of you could open it and open it to LAN and the other person could join it, so you could play together.
Hi there,
Could you please help me out?
My daughter and I love playing minecraft and would like to share a world.
So we would like to be able to play, independently of each other, and save the game so the other can load it and carry on, using his account.
Is that possible?
Thanks for any help
D.
You can take a look at setting up a localhost server:

After creating such a server, you can replace the world with your own world
Before, put inventory/enderchest into a chest
