Win 10 player. Might be a dumb question but, what happens to the villager that you max out in trading? I had 2 farmers, one I maxed out to lvl 5 through trading. The next "day" I still have 2 farmers but both are now lvl 1 novices. Do the villagers revert back after hitting lvl 5?
Bedrock might have slightly different villager mechanics, but in Java edition once you start trading with a villager its trades and profession are permanent enough that you don't need the workstation for anything but refreshing the trades (otherwise once you lock them they stay locked forever). Traded villagers that get different stats are probably new villagers altogether (ie, yours died or you're trading with some other villager instead).
