So I'm looking to start a new world to have fun in and start afresh, my old world has everything that I could really want and is getting a tad stale, I want something new.

So here I am looking at the creation screen for a new world and am trying to decide on going with a large biomes world (like my last one) or just going with the default one and going with that. I don't mind traveling long distances to get items (went 17,000 blocks just to get to a mushroom island in my old world just recently and only brought back purple dirt) but sometimes I wish for bigger biomes, other times I wish for smaller ones.

So pretty much I am asking what do you run with? Why, besides the obvious 'I made my world before the option was there!' answers? WHat would you feel are the pro's and cons of either one in your eyes?

Some insight would be great for this as I'm undecided, sad as it is I know.

Large biomes generate more Villages and Temples and I dislike looking out the window and seeing nearly every incompatible biome mashed up next to each other.

default biomes. I'm very picky toward the biomes I build in and I usualy spawn in snow or jungle biomes

Default i HATE snow biomes soooo you catch my drift?

I like default sized biomes cause I don't like having to go thousands of blocks just to go to another biome. I started another world today cause I wanted to try something new and be close to spawn to live in This world is in the taiga biome, normally I'm in the plains.

I tend to dislike traveling long distances to get to other biomes, so I typically pick the default. It seems to me like the snow biomes are large enough as it is.

I typically use large biome worlds. It irritates me when I build in a desert and I see a taiga literally 50 blocks away. It detracts from the beauty of the world and is very distracting.

Large biomes. I outbuild the biome in default.

If by always you mean sometimes. Spawning biomes are completely random, except the game avoids tundra, desert and ocean.

Oh, and I've tried large biomes, but now I only use it for special projects, like a huge build in extreme hills.

I usually take default because you get more easy access to the resources. The downside is as people mentioned, an unrealistic smorgasbord of biomes.

I tried a few worlds with large biomes and it takes FOREVER to get across and find non-native resources. The up-side is they are perfect for large biome-themed cities where you don't see the edge of the biome from the highest point.

I with there was an in-between size. I feel this would be a perfect balance of both situations.

Default or large biome, either of them.Depend. Default for normal survival, large biome for realism.

Default , I prefer them normal sized. Large Biome IMO may be too wide and boring most of the time. And it's even harder to find biome variety too I think.

Large biomes, because it looks a lot better, and i like taking long walks to get to my other bases.

Default; I like the thought of having not to go quite as far to get my first snow, slime, sand, pumpkins, spruce, jungle, cats, wolves, etc. if I spawn in a biome where one of those things doesn't spawn.

Default, I like the look of large biomes, but it gets frustrating to try and find the exact right place you want to build.

Is it me or was this necro'd...?

I usually play in Default worlds but on occasion I use Large Biomes.
