Question is the title, Mine is earlier today I was playing vanilla mc and I found a skeleton in gold armor, when I killed him, He dropped Feather Falling III, Unbreaking II, Fire Protection I, gold boots. That is the best mob drop I have gotten, what your's?
I'd have absolutely no use for those gold boots. I have a whole chest full of worn-out, enchanted golden armor that I've got from mob drops, and it's just sitting there, and it's going to continue just sitting there, because who wants to wear gold armor that's just going to fall apart in like five minutes, with its mish-mash of random, situation-specific yet wholly unrelated enchantments? The "best" mob drops, in my opinion, are things like beef, and arrows, the occasional iron ingot. You know, stuff I might actually use, instead of pick up and go "oh, crap, this means now I've gotta find a space for another chest in my house, 'cause the last one's full up already." Getting a gold boots like that isn't a treat, in my opinion, rather it makes me feel like I've just been given a chore.

Some of the best Minecrafters wear them, if to just get rid of them

I hardly pay attention to drops or their enchantments (just leave them on the ground to despawn, even if that means other mobs can pick them up, though I'll pick up and wear helmets as I normally don't wear one); one of the rare occasions I'll actually use a drop (other than wear it until it wears out) is a golden helmet to enchant for Respiration III for underwater mining (durability is a non-issue and the higher enchantability is a plus, and if it doesn't get it no big loss). Another occasion was in my current world when a zombie dropped an iron sword with Sharpness II and near full durability, when I was still using a stone sword, so that was a nice catch.
Many Feather Falling IV Protection III boots, enchanted iron swords, but the most memorable is when i spotted a diamond armoured skeleton and it gave me a 75% durability diamond helmet.

That is what I tend to do if I need levels to repair my go-to full Protection 4 iron armour set. It can be risky though, these leather and gold armour pieces don't provide a lot of protection (unless the chestplate or leggings have high Protection level on them) so there isn't a lot of room for being unlucky or getting a brainfart and ending up in a dangerous situation.
Only tonight I recently killed a full chain mail zombie and he dropped three bits of it - never had three bits of armour at once before.
I've also got two enchanted 100% durability gold helmets; one with Protection II & Unbreaking II, one with Respiration I & Fire Protection I and a pair of enchanted 100% gold boots with Blast Protection IV & Unbreaking III on them.
In Vanilla, it was chainmail leggings. I have mediocre luck when it comes to mob drops, if anything I end up getting nearly-broken gold helms or the ordinary skeleton bow drop.
I've had much better luck in Terrafirmacraft, however. I've gotten a steel sword (which is FAR more difficult and time-consuming to obtain than anything in Vanilla short of a fully-powered beacon that isn't made of iron) and a double iron ingot (which isn't nearly as difficult to obtain but speeds along progress quite a bit in TFC since you need seven of them for a wrought iron anvil which you need to progress past the iron tier).

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.

Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
