And I don't mean as a joke. Have you actually ever made a diamond hoe and used it on purpose and not just for fun? BECAUSE I HAVE! ALL ADVANCEMENTS, HERE I COME!

Don't pretend to be someone you aren't. Be yourself. Even if you try to be someone else ill knows its you. Your a terrible actor.
Nope. It doesn't serve a purpose other than lasting longer. How often do you hoe the ground vs use a pickaxe? I would much rather use stone, not even barely iron, because it's not like it goes faster or anything, stone is much more plentiful.

Yeah well I guess having fancy hoes isn't everything... But I wanted to have one because you need to break one for an advancement

I've made several, I like mining and once you have chests full of diamond tools and armor and stacks and stacks of diamonds there's no sense in being stingy with them. I usually use iron hoes, and when making LARGE fields even they wear out too fast so I thought it would be nice to have one that would last a while but I never had it when I wanted it, it was always in a chest somewhere where I had emptied my inventory before mining or exploring, or I found I still had it with me halfway through the trip and had to keep it in my inventory because I didn't want to throw it away. So I went back to iron and just made a new one whenever I needed a hoe.
I made one in my last modded world because I'd made it so that you had to use a hoe with Fortune (which can be applied to them with a book) in order for it to have an effect on crops and they lost durability when breaking a block (including blocks with a hardness of 0, which otherwise do not damage tools), making higher tiers more useful; I also put Mending and Unbreaking on it (which were quite overkill as I never came close to having to repair it even without Unbreaking; 1562 uses is enough for around 4686 potatoes. In vanilla I use a diamond pickaxe for this, which never takes damage, so I only have Fortune on it).
Aside from that, I've bought several by trading in my first world in order to unlock trades (villagers sell all types of diamond gear in 1.6.4, making them quite valuable; 7 emeralds for the occasional diamond hoe is cheap change, better than having to buy iron chestplates (10-13 emeralds) or the like).

Just testing.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
This time I do not believe her, I took her out of a Woodland Mansion.
It's the first time in three years that I take a Diamond Hoe
Yes Diamond Hoe is just so much nicer to use and much nicer to look at
Enchanted with Unbreaking + Mending also
Now that mending is a thing, You will never run out of diamonds with a bit of luck!
Signature removed by popular demand.
Exactly. Diamond unb3 mending is my favorite flavor. I can’t remember right now but I think I even threw in fortune 3.
since mending lets you do it only once and never need to do it again... making an uber-hoe becomes worth it.
I'm fairly sure I used my first diamonds for a hoe. On purpose. Just to screw with my friends, then used it all up >:D
(she/they)
Get my 1.10.2 modpack :D, Quae Machinis (Machines and Things)
Have a nice day!
I don't think I relied on diamond tools regularly for the first 3 years I played the game. I finally broke-down though.

Machines, falling trees, creepers with festive hats, and much more.
Yes. I just make one. It saves me from having to make a bunch of stone/iron hoes that don't last very long, given how often I use them.
I post pretty rarely nowadays. Gosh, I wish this place weren't so... empty...
