Hello! In my survival world I want to build a slime farm. Like always, I copy my world and go into creative to build it so I know it works. I built the farm, I used a website called Chunk Base Slime Finder. I found where it said there is a slime chunk and built the farm. I have waited for 30 minutes and nothing has spawned. I first started to light up near by caves, still nothing. I replaced the floor with slabs (I saw other people do it and I though maybe they spawn on slabs... Idk xD) still nothing. Yes my world is on the right difficulty and yes the slabs are upright. I set my render distance to 2 chunks thinking that will help, It didn't. Now I am a little confused on what is going on. My biggest guess is that the Slime Chunk Finder is out of date since it is minecraft version 1.8. So help would be great! Here is some stuff about world. The seed is -8873571170630833386 The coords of the farm is 840 19 -2375.
I forgot to add this, I am using minecraft 1.12-pre2!
The world was generated in an 1.12 Snapshot. I don't remember which one though. I just checked Amidst and it also says I am in a slime chunk... Very confused right now. I have tried other snapshots but same results...
It is either the chunk I made my slime farm in is corrupted or something is wrong with the spawning pads because I loaded the Hermit craft map and went to Mumbos slime farm in the same version and it worked just fine...
You can't be within 32 blocks of the farm for them to spawn, and if the render distance is less than 10 mobs won't despawn properly so they'll take up the mob cap.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.

You cannot be CLOSER than *24* blocks.
If you are more than 32 blocks away, any given slime will keep moving but will despawn in a minute or so.

Did you generate the world in the snapshot?
Amidst is supposed to have 1.11 support. Might work with the snapshots,

Render distance = 2 chunks is wrong for mob spawning. Must be 10 or more.
