I'm not sure how common world "tours/logs/showcases" are but regardless I wanted to make this one because I'm pretty sure most of them don't have as much play time as this one.
First some information. This world is my second world overall completely single player and I've managed to keep it and keep working on it since I started playing in version 1.3.2. I played quite a bit from 1.3.2 to 1.5.2 and up to 1.6 release. I then took a break until a month ago and started playing the world in 1.8.7 after using 1.6.4 to save structures. The world has always been played on normal difficulty. Most of the time I have been able to use perfect tools/weapons such as efficiency five unbreaking three pickaxes. For awhile this was due to being able to repair infinitely after renaming. Creative has not been used to spawn in items or for building. The only thing creative has been used for is flying for the purposes of screenshots/video and currently due to the storage limitations with chests I have used creative to delete some of the obscene amount of excess items in the hopes that one day we will have new storage other than just normal chests. I am aware of the ironchests mod but I prefer to play in vanilla with only optifine to reduce lag. Mostly this has
been done with cobblestone(4200 stacks) and dirt(1500 stacks). Rather than have over 100 double chests around for just these two items I have kept a log in wordpad of everything I delete. I know some would say justthrow it in lava you can always get more. This is true however you never know how much you might need for your next massive build and I
think it would be silly to have to go mine more cobblestone after having thousands of stacks.
Please keep in mind this is not to brag it is merely to show what has been done and for me to get new ideas. Also I do
not claim to have created the farms almost all of them are built from designs on youtube.
Currently it says day 6550 in game. I wish I could show the statistics for all of the mining etc but unfortunately most of it was done before that addition. Some of this has obviously been just afking at night at different farms but as most of the fully afk farms (fish/cow/gold) were only recently built it's not as much of the time as you would think.
Spawn Chunk Base:
This
is in mostly extreme hills (my favorite biome)(old generation so not as
high) but still a fair bit to clear down to Y=63 and then half slab.
The wall around is from Y=63 to Y=100.
Sorting Room:
This
is completely surrounded on all six sides with obsidian mined using
efficiency five with haste two beacons. One end is removed currently to
expand more after 1.9 for new items. I recently did a complete overhaul
of it to add more storage and to make the sorting overflow proof.
Beacons:
All four beacons were obtained with looting three before the buff.
Using
the beacons the entire spawn chunks is cleared out three blocks high at
Y=11. I almost always mine at this height as it is pretty much the best
for diamonds and not too bad for the rest.
Also using the beacons the majority of a mushroom island was mined out at Y=11.
Mineshafts:
There
are also other straight line mineshafts for thousands of blocks. The
insides of these have almost completely had showing ores/dirt/gravel
replaced with cobblestone so nothing but cobblestone/smoothstone is
visible. I don't like how mines (other than the spawn chunks area) look
wih random blocks everywhere.
Iron Golem Farm:
This
is quite an old design but has served me well enough to never need more
iron. I did make the iron trench at one point but lost the updated save
from it. Nonetheless I don't think it would still work with the new
village mechanics anyway.
Overworld Mob Farm:
This
design is also quite old I've used it on every single world I've played
on and it has always been a decent starting farm for drops and xp. This
is actually the second one on this world the first was built over an
ocean but at low height before I knew more about spawn mechanics.
The second one:
The first one:
Enderman Farm:
This
used to be my primary source of xp for enchanting before I later found
the dual blaze spawners and then recently made the zombie pigman farm.
Dual Blaze Farm:
I use this for infinite furnace fuel so I don't have to bother with getting coal or making charcoal.
Witch Farm:
This
was fun to make but I never bothered to clear out enough(only down to
Y=63 in the area around it) to make it efficient enough to use. I know
you can go above some of them especially newer ones to help this but
I've never needed the drops so I left it alone.
AFK Zombie Pigman Farm:
This farm is simply amazing I have to say it is easily the best xp farm I've seen and being fully afkable is a huge bonus.
Guardian Farm:
I
just recently finished this for the new blocks. Clearing out the water
is the worst part. Beating the monument and building the farm is nothing
compared to dealing with the water. I know this is a pretty basic
design and I may make a more intensive one at some point but this one
already supplies more than enough drops.
Skeleton Spawner Farm:
I made this out of a spawner so I can just get bones to bonemeal crops etc.
Nanofarm:
This is what I use for wheat/carrot/potato.
AFK Cow Farm:
This
along with the afk xp farm is how I'm able to still use perfect tools
after the changes. Also great for food since the hunger changes.
AFK Fish Farm:
This is used solely for pufferfish for potions and nametags.
Block Generators:
These cobblestone and smoothstone generators were just something to make and never really used.
Automatic melon/pumkin farm:
Melons used to be my primary source of food until the hunger changes, now it's steak.
Automatic sugar cane/cactus farm:
This is no longer able to keep up with my paper demands due to the cow farm.
Tree Farm:
This
is a simple farm using hoppers to collect most of the items. I never
really found a semi-auto or fully auto design since I didn't want to use
the wither. However with the new 1.9 dual wielding you no longer need
one so I'll probably make one then.
The items from the automatic farms that don't require anything travel by hopper to these chests.
Village Breeder:
This is what I recently replaced an old nerfed one with.
Other screenshots:
Semi-Automatic Furnace Room
The Mushroom Island
Nether paths to portals.
Path to enderpearl spot to get to pigman farm above the nether.
Blazefarm and surrounding fortress structure used to fight wither skeletons.
There is also a very simple spider farm using a spawner that isn't worth showing.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my world.
Feel free to ask questions about the world or farms etc and I'll try to answer them.
As I mentioned before this isn't just a showcase I also would like ideas
for new functional stuff to make. I don't want to just build something
that looks nice with no purpose. Everything in the world has had a use
at one point. That being said I would also like advice on aesthetics as
you can probably tell I'm not very good at making the farms/builds look
nice. The only reason the sorting room looks like it does is because I
use it every time I play so I put a lot of thought into designs and
patterns. Some of what I was considering making in the spawn chunks: a
better iron golem farm(the titan), a tower stacked automatic sugar
cane farm, a tower stacked melon farm and some form of mushroom farm. I
will also probably be making one of the new 1.9 afk tree farms.

Yes one of the main goals was to try to keep up with new advancements in automation and have as much as possible require little to no player interaction.
Quite a lot of impressive accomplishments there! You can really get some projects finished. I think you should take more pics with F3 off, though, because those excellent constructions deserve pics without the debug information cluttering them up. An occasional F3 pic to show you're not cheating etc. is plenty.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
It tells you what day it is in the debug screen if you are playing in 1.8 or later; it is the last line on the left side next to local difficulty, assuming that reduced debug info isn't enabled.
For older versions you need a mod to find out what day it is, as I did myself, or use a utility like MCEdit or NBTExplorer to view the time (which is in ticks so you have to divide by 24000 to get days; the game also keeps track of the actual time the world has been played for, unaffected by sleeping in a bed).
That said, I've spent about 3,850 days in a world myself and recently passed the 1,000 day mark in another world, with all of the time spent playing as I never AFK (which makes no sense given my playstyle). I've probably explored more caves, mined more ores, and placed more torches than just about anybody else; I'd have your storage problem if you weren't able to make blocks of resources; indeed, I didn't even bother mining most coal until 1.6 came out, more due to the ability to compress it in your inventory/Ender chest since that allows me to go 9 times longer before it gets full.
Yes I went afk at night from time to time however as mentioned most of the best things to AFK at (gold farm, cow farm, fish farm and guardian farm) were only recently built within the last 500 days so not much of the time was spent afking.

I recently came back and I'm going to try to update this world as much as I can with the time I have. Since it's been so long just about everything is outdated so there is plenty to do now. Below I'm going to list what I think to be the best current designs for different types of farms. It would be great if people could post suggestions if they find better ones as well as ideas for other stuff to do in the world.
Since returning I've been to the end cities gotten some Elytras and new blocks/items. I've gathered some magma blocks and some elusive packed ice which was easier to find by flying with the Elytra/rockets.
I've decided that it's not practical for me to gather the materials and do the work of making a fully spawn proof perimeter down to bedrock in multiple areas for different farms so I'm probably going to be using this design for that. Obviously I wish I didn't have to use a bug/glitch but even with a good mob farm for the gun powder it's far too much work to gather the sand, craft the TNT and then manually blow up the 17/17 chunk area each time.
I'm also struggling with deciding what to put in the main spawnchunks area. Obviously an updated Iron Farm would go there so it doesn't break but other than that I'm not sure. I don't want it to get too crowded but having more farms going simultaneously would be nice.
Some of what I could do to update the world:
Witch Farm Perimeter/New Witch Farm (Old broken an inefficient without perimeter.)
New Zombie Pigman Gold/XP Farm (Old broken.)
New Enderman Farm (Old broken due to pressure plates.)
New Overworld Mob Farm (Old far too slow and inefficient due to relying on the mobs moving themselves.)
Sugar Cane Farm (Current design is decent however far to small scale for current paper needs for villagers/books.)
Iron Golem Farm (Current design already provides more iron than I'll ever need but builing a better one is always fun. As stated at one point I had the Iron Trench but I lost that save of this world. Regardless it wouldn't work in current versions anyway.)
Wither Skeleton Farm (You can never have too many beacons and it's far too slow to manually kill the skeletons trying to get the skulls. This would require a nether perimeter.)
Slime Farm (Slime blocks are very useful for current redstone designs as opposed to barely being used before so having more is necessary.)
Guardian XP Farm (I already have a farm for getting plenty of the drops but they can also be used for a very fast XP farm.)
I'm not sure how common world "tours/logs/showcases" are but regardless I wanted to make this one because I'm pretty sure most of them don't have as much play time as this one.

I LOVE THIS.. (and maybe take some pics without the Debug screen?)
?)
Edit: Somehow triple post in the same post? Sorry about that but an error popped telling that there is a problem with posting.. ._.
I'm just a very boring person.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
KrafkoYT, what platform do you play minecraft on? If you want, I could play minecraft with you at some point.
But I only play on MCPE
This is simply intriguing. I spent 15 months building a home, but I have never encountered something this developed.
Do you have any pictures of this house?
@Baryonic_Lord
Yes I went afk at night from time to time however as mentioned most of the best things to AFK at (gold farm, cow farm, fish farm and guardian farm) were only recently built within the last 500 days so not much of the time was spent afking.
@Zeno410
I'll try to post some without F3 when I post new changes.
@KrafkoYT
Sorry I play single player.
@TheMasterCaver
I think I've seen some of your other posts nice job on your world.
@Angelshark8
That must be one nice house I'd like to see it.
I'm having an issue with quoting when I try to it will only let me type in the quote.
Thanks everyone for the feedback :).
I recently came back and I'm going to try to update this world as much as I can with the time I have. Since it's been so long just about everything is outdated so there is plenty to do now. Below I'm going to list what I think to be the best current designs for different types of farms.
