**EDIT** It may be a bit late now but I added a poll so people can vote on what they like more!
Well as the title suggests, how do YOU feel when the world Minecraft generates you a gravel beach/ shoreline? For some reason this has been happening to me A TON. I've been trying to get a nice looking world but these dang gravel beachs keep ruining my worlds! For me, I hate them.
Heres a picture showing you guys and gals what I mean exactly:
It pretty much puts gravel where sand "should" be. It might seem like a weird thing to hate but it just bugs me so much ._.
I hate gravel beaches with a passion. They ruin the landscape with their horrible texture, the sound they make when walking over them and the amount of grey there is.

I heard spades and pickaxes speed up destroying blocks, not sure if it's true though :/
Gravel is just terrible, worst block to run across in the game by far. I've seen just one gravel beach lately I think, was hideous, I deleted the world
I like gravel beaches. They offer variety and realism. Apart from the texture being ugly, its nice to see something other than yellow beaches or swampy grass along the coast. It also looks awesome under shallow water.
My one complaint is that the rest of the land is usually generated two blocks higher, making it a pain to get off a gravel beach.

Especially the last part. I just don't understand why it tends to generate that way either.
A better texture that looks more like a mix of big and small rocks would be a more appropriate texture. This has me thinking I may try to make my own and see what I can come up with.
I found a really cool swamp-like biome that was HUGE. It had all these, and really low hills, and lots of water. I like these when they are in the right area, like that. Not when they are just randomly there.

No you didn't, because TNT damage doesn't stack.
See my About Me section for info about me.
I haven't seen any gravel beaches in minecraft yet, I always have been spawning inland :tongue.gif:. But yeah, I wouldn't care if it was there or if it wasn't there.

That's a very nice everything you have there
It'd be a shame if something happened to it
I love gravel. I've got Pfaeff's Allocator, so I use those with three Hoppers from Better Than Wolves, and make a processor that splits gravel into sand and flint. So I always grab all the gravel I go past. It lets me have all the sand, glass, and arrows I want.
It looks kind of ugly. I don't mind it that much. As long as it doesn't take over all the sand. As you can see, there is sand off to the left. The reason is because I usually use glass for windows.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
Anyone care to share their gravel texture?
