So I decided recently that I wanted to set out and find a new location and build an actual city. Put a large wall around it and everything. So I started building a path as I went until I would hopefully find somewhere new and exciting to set roots. Until now I have always just built things that I thought would be cool, while trying to stay alive at the same time. Because of that I don't really have any basis for a "city" and my stuff is spread out WAY too much to try and put a wall around it. So, like I said I set out to find somewhere new to start an actual city at. Anyways, I was running and saw ice on the water and instantly thought "Awesome!" because I have NEVER found any snow or ice or anything in my save and it's over 50MB (Dunno if that's big or not). Anyhow, the idea of building my city around snow and ice sounded pretty awesome so I went over to investigate, and although there is ice on the water....there is no snow ANYWHERE around it. I ran around for like 20 minutes trying to find WHY there was ice on the water, and no snow area anywhere. It's a little saddening, but also got me curious as to why there is ice on the water if there is no snow or anything anywhere else near it?
TLDR: Is it normal for ice to form on water if there is no snow biome near it?
Yes, because it's an snowy biome right there. Just no land for snow. So ice.
You are right, he needs to just place some dirt on the water and make land if he wants a snowy regon bad enough :smile.gif:
So if I actually put dirt in the water I will get a snowy biome? Cause I've searched and searched and can't find one. Also, how far will it continue to spread?
