I've had this pesky memory leak for a while now just never got to fixing it lol. But after a while i finally decided to try and find the cause. So i started my server and thought "okay time to find this memory leak by... wait wat?" Then i noticed i have no idea how to find it. all i know is that its caused by a plugin. can someone help please?
lol yeah that's a obvious one to check, i'm not that much of a amateur i have common sense (not trying to be mean or anything just saying ;D) i would try and remove 1 by 1 plugin but that would take forever cause you see the ram spike after about 1 or 2 hours and i have 41 plugins so i don't have that \kind of time with school and stuff. I just made this post to try and find a easier way to do such.
Welcome to the wonderful world of running a server. Sometimes, it requires a bit of work and effort. ^-^ (not trying to be mean or anything, just saying lol)
You don't have to remove plugins one by one, you can do a group of 'em at a time. Take off 5 or 10 at a time, and see if your problem is from the group of those... or take half off. If all runs fine, you know it isn't from the first 20 plugins you removed, and they are all fine. I know SpigotMC allows you to see timings on your server, but Bukkit, to my knowledge, does not, unless there is a plugin which does so...
Typically, when your server is lagging pretty badly, when you run one of those, it's going to show you how long plugins are taking to complete their execution. If your lag is being caused by a plugin, you will see one listed there with a lot of time tacked onto it.
How much ram are you rocking? Another world (or 3) are server hogs. Remember each world is likely another world of chunks in RAM at any time, plus Nether if you allow it in the extra worlds.
on top of that, Heros can be a constant ram slammer (like MCMMO)
