Hey guys, kinda at a loss here with this server I'm working on.
I have EssentialsChat added, with the latest version straight from EssentialsX's website. At first I downloaded the latest dev build but I keep coming across the same issue : It shows up red when I do /plugins . I get the notification every time I login to the server that I'm "2 dev builds behind" but Essentials core is lit up green with no issues.
The issues that I've come across are becoming a reoccurring pain, and it's actively ignoring the config that I set up for the chat. I wanted the chat to say:
"{PREFIX} {DISPLAYNAME} &6>> &r{MESSAGE}" But I'm getting:
"<{PREFIX} {DISPLAYNAME}> &r{MESSAGE}" instead. I've never had a problem like this before and I'm wondering what's got me hung up like this. I also can't dye signs with vanilla dyes, but can use the ColoredSigns plugin just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated

It'd be really cool if someone's able to help me out with this problem here. Bump

Give me a second - I will look into this

For me, it worked
Just to make sure:
Use Paper 1.21.4 build 173
Inside plugins:
EssentialsX-2.21.0-dev+169-69ed07a.jar
EssentialsXChat-2.21.0-dev+169-69ed07a.jar
Go to /plugins/Essentials/
Open the config.yml
Scroll down to EssentialsX Chat
and change the chat part to
Restart the server and test it again - if there is no change, make a test without any other plugins - just the 2 essentialsx builds

Thanks for the help. Come to figure out the server owner had an additional outdated essentialsX plugin that wasn't in the correct folder floating around in the files that was overwriting the valid version. I didn't find that out till about last night or the day before when I was finally allowed FTP access
