i've been reading on the forum about potential solving methods that mentioned java 8, i do have both versions of java ( 8 and 16 if im not wrong )

also, the forge file is : forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2855-installer.jar
Minecraft 1.12.2 requires java 8
But windows is always using the newer version (Java 16) - so in your start-script you have to point to the Java 8 installation
In your start.bat, replace java with the java 8 path:
Keep the quotation marks
i modified it and this is what i get
The path is wrong - my path is just an example
Check your system for the java 8 installation and copy the path of the javaw.exe
i found the path, changed the bat file and now i get this
use javaw.exe instead of java.exe
now nothing shows and im low key feeling that i'm starting to get annoying for u
Reinstall the latest java 8 buildhttps://www.java.com/en/download/Do not change the installation directory - then the given path above should workEdit: oh wait - 311 is the latest version
Maybe it is also an issue with X:\New Folder\
Rename "New Folder" to "server" - so do not use spaces in folder names
changed the folder name and reinstalled java from the given link, still the same
What about the directory X: ?
Is there a way to test it on C: ?
moved it to C: and i still get the same thing
Maybe recreate the server
Create a new folder at C - name it "forgeserver"
Run the forge-installer, choose "Install Server" and choose the "forgeserver" folder
Go to the folder and create the eula.txt with eula=true
Rename your forge jar
Create the start.bat and paste:
And check for java path again - maybe your java installation is also at X: and not C:
this worked, ty for your assistance
