PROBLEM:
I've created a Minecraft server (version 1.14.4) so my friends and I could play Diversity 3. I've portforwarded, however, it shows that my port can't be seen in canyouseeme.org, "Reason: connection timed out", and when I try to connect using my IP or even localhost, it gives me the error "io.netty.channel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception connection refused". What I find most odd is that I can't even connect as localhost. I don't have any VPNs running nor Hamachi.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
-When I create a server without doing anything besides accepting the EULA, I can connect using localhost ONLY, not using my IP. However, after inputting my IPv4 address into the server.properties file in "server-ip", it gives me the error with both localhost and IP connect.
-I'm using a Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router.
TRIED SOLUTIONS:
-disable windows firewall
-disable IPv4 AND IPv6 SPI firewall protection
-allow java to run through firewall
-update java
-uninstalled Hamachi
-recreate server
-redo portforward
-restart pc
-restart router
-running server through the run.bat file I created
-running server through server.jar
Leave the server IP setting in server.properties blank.
