Hi. Yet another topic about not being able to connect to my server (1.16.3). When trying to connect I'm getting the error:
I have opened the port 25565, and I have checked it's working using https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ (check images)
As you can see, this all appears to be correct.
I've tried connecting through my local adress, and I can connect, but I can't when using my public IP. I've also tried completely disabling Windows' firewall.
The only error I'm finding in the logs is the following:
(EDIT): I restarted my router and reset the port forwarding on it, and now the above errors don't appear, but I still get the "connection refused" error I wrote up here. Now I have literally 0 errors in the server, but I still get "connection refused"
Everything else is correct. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Use localhost to connect.
Thanks for answering! (And sorry for late reply) Yes, I can connect using localhost and it works fine, but I want someone else, from outside my network, to connect to the server, so this won't solve it. Any ideas? It's a really weird situation
Oh, so is someone else having issues connecting?
I'm not sure you can use your external ip address to connect to a server located into your network, it's possible to create such configuration but most of the time it's useless so routers don't implement it.
Try connecting from someone else connection (or ask a friend to try) or if you have a mobile device with internet traffic and a second PC you cant test using you mobile as a wifi hotspot for the Minecraft client side.
