So I've been trying to allocate more RAM to my modded Minecraft server on mac (and I know that I have enough RAM for it and I have java 8 I think) but to do that I have to make a start.command file and yada yada and I've been running into problems when running the document, here's the error message that shows up in Terminal:
A problem occurred running the Server launcher.java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:62) at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.base/java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:564) at net.minecraftforge.fml.relauncher.ServerLaunchWrapper.run(ServerLaunchWrapper.java:70) at net.minecraftforge.fml.relauncher.ServerLaunchWrapper.main(ServerLaunchWrapper.java:34) Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: class jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader cannot be cast to class java.net.URLClassLoader (jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader and java.net.URLClassLoader are in module java.base of loader 'bootstrap') at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.<init>(Launch.java:34) at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:28) ... 6 more

If I do java -version in Terminal this is what shows up:
java version "14.0.1" 2020-04-14
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 14.0.1+7)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.0.1+7, mixed mode, sharing)
Version is 1.12.2 I was just wondering what I should do to fix it because I'm very confused and I really need some help...
(If you need any more information feel free to ask).
Yeah I know, would you like to help me fix that? Because I tried to get Java 8 but it's just not working apparently. So I would like your assistance with that.

Java 14 is not supported, use Java 8.

Windows user here. On windows you would just uninstall Java 14 and install Java 8, simple as that.
Hmm, ok. If you find out what I should please let me know. Thanks for trying to help!
