So recently I have been watching some of dream's videos and I thought that it would be cool to have my own Minecraft server to challenge my friends.
I did some research and set up a simple Minecraft server which runs on four gigabytes of RAM. I port forwarded the port 25565 and checked that it was open at https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/. It is open only when my server is running which I suppose is normal. I am able to join the server on my LAN (with more than 1 accounts as well) and it works perfectly.
The problem is that when my friend tries to join (with my external IP), he loads into the world and then gets immediately kicked with the error "The connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". I did some research and both I and my friend disabled our anti-virus, allowed java threw the windows firewall and set the router firewall to the minimum possible. We both put the same DNS address as well. Nothing fixed the issue.
Do I need to open another port? I have checked the server.properties file and the server-port is 25565. Above that is rcon.port which is 25575. Do I need to port forward this port as well?

Hey Tails1,
Thanks for the response, here are my results
20ms ping / 8Mbps download/ 1Mbps upload
If you wanna host a server you're gonna need a better internet connection than one that was good 10 years ago...
I understand that my internet is slow, but I only need 1 player to connect to my server. Do you think even this is not possible?
Not with that horrible upload speed. Maybe your friend has better internet connection and can host it instead.
