I just decided to set up a Minecraft server on my PC. I've gone through all the usual steps, including setting up port forwarding on my router and starting the server. I can run the server and connect alone, but here's the problem:
I can only connect when the "server-ip" property field is left empty. I can connect the "localhost" address. Anytime I fill the field with the local IPv4 address I get from "ipconfig" the server will run, but becomes unassailable to the Minecraft client from any address I can think of.
I can give more information where it's necessary. I don't believe that my port forwarding will have done anything to shut down access at this point in making sure it runs, but I've got the old PF Network Utility for troubleshooting. Are there any options there or in the server files that could help me out? Thanks for any support you can share!
