I have recently started playing Minecraft again and have run into a brick wall when it comes to setting up a server. My sister, who has been hosting Minecraft for years, is able to host in the next room with the 25565 port opening up immediately after port forwarding. I on the other hand just cannot seem to get it open. I have tried temporarily removing her forwarding outright and replacing it with my own, making an exception through windows firewall by adding an inbound rule, disabling the firewall completely, and even disabling my antivirus services. None of this seems to solve the problem. My router is a Bell Home Hub 2000 and has never given any problems with hosting servers in the past with other games. This problem seems exclusive only to Minecraft on my machine. She is able to host fine when I port forward to her machine, as tested last night.
What are some other ports I could use instead of 25565 in this instance, and is it simple as adding this other port as well, or would I have to make Minecraft recognize it?
edit: Just tried forwarding 25566 instead, but it won't open either

Port forward a different port and try that.
