How do i connect to the server, it comes up with a no connection on my client. I know how to use Localhost to join my server but i am trying to use it for my cousin and i to connect to each other. only i can connect to my server if i put 0.0.0.0 in as the IP address.
The same thing is happening to me and my friend. I am using Windows 10 and he is using 8.1 and anytime you start the server it seems to crash while and IP is proprieties.

Keep in mind that even though you're setting 0.0.0.0 or no value for the IP address in the configuration file, it doesn't mean that's what you type into the Multiplayer menu. You still need to use the public IP address to access it from outside of your network.
Windows + R > type cmd > type ipconfig > find your IPv4address and your defaultgateway - then, open the defaultgatewayaddress in your browser, head to portforwardingpage and ensure that the address matches your IPv4 and the port is 25565. Quote me and let me know how you go. :-)

Everything checks out thanks for posting i might have some trouble with it later but i need my friends to type in my public IP address and not my IPV4 to connect, Right? thanks!

That's correct. The IPv4 you grab from Command Prompt is only going to work in your local network - that means anyone within your house will be able to connect with that IP. Anyone outside the network, i.e. outside your house, needs to use your Public IP address. :-)

Please help me, i have tried EVERYTHING and i cant fix this bug!
Leave the server ip blank in the properties file
ya I had this problem literally 2 days ago. All you have to do is leave it blank and it will work.
If leaving it blank doesnt work, put in 0.0.0.0
How do i connect to the server, it comes up with a no connection on my client. I know how to use Localhost to join my server but i am trying to use it for my cousin and i to connect to each other. only i can connect to my server if i put 0.0.0.0 in as the IP address.
Did you port-forward? You hadn't mentioned anything about this in the OP.
I have done this as well, nothing seems to work for me, If it helps, im running on windows 10. i just got it last night.
If you've successfully port-forwarded prior to windows 10, you may have to re-do the whole thing.
Have you:
Checked your IPV4 is the same?
Checked your router for any changes since upgrading?
Did you have to set a static IP address previously? If so, you may need to re-do this.
Why would it be bad if my V4 address changed, because I think it did, I checked everything else and that is the only thing I think makes sense.
The same thing is happening to me and my friend. I am using Windows 10 and he is using 8.1 and anytime you start the server it seems to crash while and IP is proprieties.
