So I've been trying to setup a simple creative server for just me and a few friends, and I'm having some difficulty.
Specs:
i7 4790k
GTX 970
RAM: 8gb
Server is on a 1TB HDD
Windows 8.1
With no one on, the average tick is ~2.5ms. When I get on, the average tick goes up to 20ms+ and I get repeated "could not keep up" errors if I fly around or teleport.
If I try to get it to use 2gb of ram, it gives me the error:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for 2097152KB object heap
Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Hey,
If you are unable to create the JVM with 2GB try installing 64-bit Java, this should fix this problem if you have enough RAM
The batch file you used was redundant, I would install the Java 8 JRE and run the server with just this start.bat file:
