I downloaded a well known program used to do various things to worlds called "MCEdit".
Loaded the world within MCEdit, located the bad chunk, selected the chunk and went just outside the edge of it, and deleted it.
I then loaded the world in single-player, allowed the chunk I just worked with to load, and regenerate, problem was solved.
Finally, I loaded the world back onto the server, no more issues while the chunk was loaded there.
If you have a recent backup of the world, you could try that, some work may be lost though. In my situation, all the recent backups were cleared, then the chunk problem started, so the most recent backups, had the bad chunk in them.
Luckily, nothing major was on the bad chunk. We lost some of a bridge, and a huge tree that was constructed by hand, and some very minor detail stuff.
