Hi I am trying to start my Minecraft server with 2.5GB of RAM on a 4GB of RAM Windows Ultimate x86 PC. However I run into a error below.

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

I never had this problem when I was running Ubuntu 11.10 64bit.

Specs:
Windows Ultimate x86 all drivers and software up to date.
4GB of DDR2 RAM
2.7GHZ AMD Athlon le1640 processor
Running both JDK and SDK Java
1TB SSD Drive
4GB of Ready Boost space
Nvidia Geforce 8200 (Updated)

also if i'm not mistaken, windows x86 is 32bit, which means java can only handle 1.5GB, it needs 64 bit to handle more

I am good with PC's but I don't understand why Java cant allow more memory to be reserved. I went to a 32 bit system to help make my system faster but I guess I gotta go back to 64bit. *le sigh*
