Hello, i have a minecraft server, and it only works on my LAN. I have tried my ip address, along with my ip address with :25565 attached but no computer can reach it. I made sure 25565 is port fowarded, and it is, i even went and re did it, but its still a no go. I unblocked minecraft server from the firewall, along with java and still nothing. I can't figure out what im doing wrong? Please help, if any more imformation is needed just ask
When you say you tried your IP address.. you don't mean one that starts with 192.168 or 10. or 172. do you? If so, that's your problem. You need to use a public IP, not a private.
Find out how the other people who are hosting are doing it. Since you're at a college, you'd have to have their network guys forwarding ports for you. I'm dubious as to their willingness, heh.
