Im planning on making a server using server hosting and had a question:
Is it legal to make only people who donate to have access to things like
-using mods
-having access to certain places for example a redstone arcade, having big plots, able to own towns.
Please comment if you know the answer to my question. :smile.gif:
Also none of the donated money goes to me, it goes to paying the server hoster.
chance users pay for a server to be able to play: 3%
why should someone pay to play if he can play without pay :-P u dont give them anything special exept a maybe empty server
EDIT: if u btw only let donaters play it is pay to play
and if u reach a special limit (depends on ur countrys law) it starts to be a bussiness...
My friends are the people who would pay and they understand that they need to pay for the server to stay alive. The server only cost 15$ a month.
Lastly regular people an play on the server, they just don't have access to certain things and i live in america.
Don't expect your donations to roll in, you need to build up your server and hope that your users enjoy it enough to through cash your way.
Setting up a 'Pay-to-Play' server will turn a lot of people away, but to some people they might like the idea; but you'l shy away quite a few potential members away by doing that.
Even if people can play, but have extra features, you need to find a balance.
As for, 'being legal', yes, it's perfectly legal. It's the internet.
I'm a kid and the money relies on allowance, i'm not old enough for a job. And im paying for 1/3 of it anyway i just didn't want to infract a law.Thank you Jordan for your answer and advice. I'm making a great spawn area and i will listen to my friends advice on what to do with the server so they will like it and pay.
