Although, I will list the CHEAPEST but reliable hosts, by location...
Hetzner.de -- Germany, extremely cheap and high spec servers, but steep $200 plus setup fee on the EQ line of servers.
Leaseweb.com -- Located in the Netherlands, server grade hardware, pretty good price and amazing network.
TailorMadeServers.com -- United States, Texas. One of the cheapest American hosts I can find. I personally use this host, and it is amazing. You will not find one bad review about this host, over their 10 years of hosting.
OVH -- Germany, VERY CHEAP, but there is also MANY horror stories about their servers being bad. Although some say they are good.
Thank you for the response, but I'm primarily looking for a see host that does gaming servers or just mc servers, my original gut was to go with servercraft.co but after reading some terrible reviews I'm a little iffy. Let me know if you know any good ones
okay I have a few,
Ones I have used: dbkservers.com (not fully launched but if you use the contact us page they will sell one to you)
I have experience with dbk (my current host) they do quick and easy set up. They will host a website for you free of charge, they let you decide the max slots you want. They will set up pigmaps for you and specialize in minecraft servers. an example of pigmaps: http://minecraftworlds.info/map/ and give you full ftp access and gamecp access with excellent support. I had my map frozen since it was on a temp world but that gives you an idea of what it does.
ktgameservers.com I use dot think this was great but really isn't. Its run by a college kid using virtual machines and doesn't offer dedicated ips like the others. Doesn't really know his way around bukkit so your confined to kmod
Ones I haven't used:
multiplay
servercraft.co
Oh, so you are not looking for a dedicated server then?
A dedicated server is a physical server at a datacenter that you pay per month to rent, and it is 100% yours with full access. It is more expensive than other options, but gives you the most power and freedom.
So I am guessing you are looking for a VPS or a game server from a company that specializes in Minecraft hosting?
Or is it a dedicated server from a host that specializes in Minecraft hosting? If this is the case, then that is the most pointless thing I ever heard, and you would be paying a high price for that.
I've tried four different server companies, the only one that actually lives up to its name is hosted game servers, they are epic, you should definitely get them. Plus they have ease of use if you want to use mods such as Bukkit.
help me out please
thanks
