So is Canary the same as HMod, as in it will accept the pluggins?
Where do I download it off their site?
As for the unofficials of HMod, do they work well?
No Canary is not the same as hMod, if you want to download it, perhaps try clicking the "Downloads" link? I dunno, it's a crazy idea but it just might work.
The unofficial hMod builds work alright, most of the plugin development has stopped and there aren't nearly as many that will work with 1.3/unofficial hMod builds.
TBH you're best off just getting Craftbukkit since it has very active development.
Well we are working on Canary which hey0 said he supports. (We aren't trying to start any competition with Bukkit, just giving an alternate solution for the old hMod users and Meaglin wants to go his own way with his own mod, so we're taking it off his shoulders. I'm sure it'll be taken over by someone to continue hMod, but we are using the hMod source to build Canary. Since Meaglin was using some of the Bukkit code, Canary/hMod cannot have official releases due to some legal issues which makes Bukkit not able to have official releases. We plan to fix that coding so we can have our releases supported. But most plugins from hMod that have worked with 135+ SHOULD work with Canary since the first unofficial build of Canary contains the source code from 137 of hMod. If you want to use us, http://canarymod.net is your place to go. We're working on a new design so dont worry about the ugly. :biggrin.gif:
Is it still possible?
How is it done?
I thought it was replaced with Bukkit, which is why I'm still asking.
hMod has been continued and is being released unofficially. Check out this link: viewtopic.php?f=1023&t=147182

You can also still get unofficial builds from http://forum.hey0.net

The downloads button wasn't functioning, but it seemed to be temporary.
We want to switch to HMod mainly because some pluggins for Hmod are not available for Bukkit.
E.g: CraftBook doesn't work as it's supposed to.
There are others as well.
