Is it correct that you host your server on a computer at home? (I guess so, but please confirm)
Can you tell us the IP-Adress of that computer? (its likely something along the lines of 192.168.x.x)
How does your Dad connect? Which IP does he use in his client to connect to your server?
What router do you have?
Now, I am guessing you both use your LAN-connection so it will likely work, while your friends try to connect from the outside (Internet).
So, either you missed the step of forwarding the port of minecraft to the IP/Port of your computer that acts as a server or there is another issue at hand.
That could be your ISP closing the port (unlikely, but not impossible) or your internet access can not handle it (bandwith wise).
But I am just guessing right now.
I think someone else already suggested this, but you need to give out your WAN IP to your friends, and not your LAN IP.
I'm assuming you and your dad live in the same house, so both you and he can connect using the LAN IP since you're both running locally. Your friends, however, need to use the WAN IP, which is quite different from your LAN IP.
